is there anything stopping someone from not shipping a board after the buyer pays for it. Is there a way of reporting the seller or would the buyer be fracked? Please help.

what answer do you expect? you have to give more details.
if you give somebody money for a board, of course they dont actually have to give it to you.
did you buy it on ebay? do you have his phone number? did you just mail him money and ask politely for the board? im sure if you knew the sellers location you could find someone on here who lives close to them.
i bought it on the this skim forum. i paid through paypal. I have emails and private messages where he says that he will ship the board after I pay.(I did not find this suspicious as this is what happens on ebay). After I paid he sent an email saying that he sent the board. Thats all. no tracking number or shipping details. I paid last monday and he said he shipped it last tuesday. He told me through an email that he would send it fed ex 4 day. am i getting worried over nothing because the shipment is just late or what should I do. thanks. btw it was the blue and gold carbon custom vic on the sell your board forum. the seller was df2008

He was looking for a local pick up which is a good sign. Also, he lives in aliso, you live in LBI. Thats a skimboard having to make it across the whole country, it could take longer than expected. Just send him an email or give him a call or something.
PM him and get a tracking number.Originally Posted by Chadbrochill91

wow. That is terrible.Hope everything works out for you. I buy a lot of stuff over theinternet from people on messageboards. Mostly my car parts... so hopefully this wont happen to me... GL
Best bet if he did scam you contact his local police, contact paypal, ect.
Put the hate in the microwave
Since you paid with PayPal you shouldn't be worried. Even if he does try to screw you over. Just file a report with PayPal and you will get your money back. I had it happen to me over an item I paid for.
He gave his email Dominicflores2008@gmail.com and his name on here is df2008, I'm gonna assume thats his legit name if you need it.Originally Posted by Mapdash

coming from car forums, pay pal sucks. if the seller doesn't have money in their account you won't get anything from them.
conatct pay pal and then your credit card company and file a dispute.
I sell on ebay and use paypal constantly, their buyer protection program should cover you in case it falls apart. Also coming from Cali to NJ takes 5 to 7 days depending on where you live. Also a lot of people get their payment and then ship it out a few days later which makes things worrisome because it takes so long to get there. I would hold of a until a week and a half after the transaction and then contact paypal.

no its not a joke haha i was just freaking out cause she gave me dome before and i bust all in this towel, whiped my dick off then fingered her with that hand and i was just like omg omg omg omg, then we did the nasty, i still think i'm straight.
Yea name and address is what you need and proof that it was his screen name from which you bought the board. That will be what an officer needs to pursue an investigation. Could be tough to do. No dis but, facepalm.
Should have called Hank from EXILE. He got my board to me, unscathed.
+ 1. contact paypal. cut off his money and you will surely get his attention.Originally Posted by Aaron Peluso

woah, that's screwed up, i always do 50/50's 50% up front, 50% after, next to that i'd always want everything (including the shipping number) before i pay him, if you two trust eachother in a sell then there is no need for him to be anxious about it, and since it's a simple copy/paste its not a big effort...
anyway, sucks for you, i HOPE there is a mixup, and if you really got scammed i hope the guy gets what he deserves.

Hopefully for you he's just been a slackass on actually getting the board packed up and shipped. Having shipped boards before I can tell you it is a bit of a bitch. He obviously should have had all of this taken care of BEFORE listing the board, but perhaps that's why he asked for local pickup in the first place.
I hope, at the least, this is the case and you get what you paid for soon.
There's a good chance you've handled my ass-pennies. That gives me the edge.
yeah he also said that shipping boards was a pain, so hes done it before
as said before,
contact Paypal, but most of all STOP PAYMENT VIA CREDIT CARD. Call up your credit card company and tell them you've been scammed. I know from personal experience that Visa/Mastercard is good with this stuff. I'd be surprised if American Express or Discover were any different.
Paypal cannot give money to the seller if it doesn't come from somewhere. Thus if your credit card company says f-you to Paypal, Paypal says f-you to the seller.
Also, open a dispute with Paypal. If the seller does not answer to the dispute, he looks like an ass and Paypal will automatically side with you. Otherwise he'll have to fess up or send. Good luck
