a regular or goofy poll
i know there have been one or two of these in the past, but i dont think there were any polls. Most of us do multiple board sports i.e. snowboard, surf, skate etc. and in almost all other board sports besides skimming regular far our numbers goofy but it always seems like its split 50-50 in skimming between the two and if not goofy seems to have the upper hand a bit. I just want to see about how many of us are reg and how many are goofy.

i had a thread bout this on the old message boards... brought up a lot of discussion on how goofy footers have a lil more advantage i guess ha. I wish i was goofy kinda. frontside siders everywhere u go. Atleast good ones.

interesting that it's dead even. Somebody a while back said on a thread that right handers skim regular and lefties skim goofy. That's retarded, and I think this thread proves that's not true.
just as i suspected, i find it very interesting that it really is such a close setup between the two but its people like ICE-J who make this even more interesting to me.

It was all in the drop that made me skim goofy. It just felt better when I was going onto the board.
I was the same with baseball though. I threw right handed and batted left.

I go goofy. I land flat on my face when I try regular. The feet just don't want to move that direction.

I skim goofy foot and surf goofy foot, but on my long board I like to switch foot. No way can I switch on a skim though......=(

Hell I feel that way about the goofy footers here in NJ... Kids like Sean Stratton and Marciniak get to ride backside liners all day because of our endless amounts of solid south swells. Especially at some of the beaches here, its a bitch to get a solid frontside line (for me) but would have a much easier time backside.
see that's opposite for me. This is my first year ever being able to hit waves solidly frontside. Thing is, once I'm on a wave, riding down the line is 10x easier frontside. I would love to have frontside liners all day long, but unfortunately on the mid- and north-atlantic coasts it's going to be South swells like 80% of the time, so I never got much frontside practice until this year, when they built a pier that gets weird sandbars that make the waves wrap around differently.
