Since this seems to be another recurring topic, let's get the ratings underway and lock this in the history books. If I missed any important ones, just let me know and I'll try to add them as another poll listing.

people will just have to vote in the one poll that contains their favorite movie. at the end, percentages won't matter but the number of votes per movie will.

yeah i understand how it is supposed to work. The resutls will never be accurate with the choices spread between 4 different threads.

If needs be, I'll consolidate the top 10 after everything runs it's course and crunch the numbers myself for accurate percentages. Though, I was just going for volume of votes to show users the most popular movie choices.

idk what you mean by accurate. if everyone votes for the movie they like best out of all 4 threads and if only vote counts are looked at when the poll is over, how is that any different from all the choices being in the same thread?

regardless, it's a bit excessive. i mean "skim tricks"? really? at least it's thorough, i suppose.

because all the choices are not in one thread. If one thread gets bumped to the second page then the results are skewed. Plus there are too many choices so many will just pick their favorite one in any of the one threads. Too many chances for error and confusion..........thats what i mean by accurate.

Kind of a waste anyway as Bearded is pretty much accepted as the best movie to date.

True, bearded is the best. This is an Exile fueled board, so I'd hope it would win. Not to mention, it just simply is the best. But there are consistent threads asking "What should I buy or what is the best". Therefore, I was trying to just etch this one in the history books for newbs or vets that are looking for a few choices in movie purchases.

i think the thought was good.......but the logistics were not thought through.

I suggest you limit the choices and make one thread. Which has already been done. So do nothing.

I agree. I just didn't want to dictate the options. Logistically I had no other options, due to the poll limitations. Especially if I wanted to be as fair and thorough as possible with the movies listed.
