good thing that street is bricks, really easy to slide.

i threw the tail of my board into some leaves and was sliding through them like a bau5. but then i must have hit something hidden by said leaves and was sent running. then some dogs tried to attack me but the owner grabbed hold of them.

i watched some of it, my ability to load videos today seems to be not working. nice slides around that first part though. I've always wanted to find one of those tube.

I now consider that black and red board i made a prototype as I found some things i can change. i realize the newer one is missing dimensions.

plus this one should come out better. theres a huge printer in the library that i'll make a nice template from.

I can stand up slide about 5 feet now, its way fun hitting technical corners, sliding to control your speed barely getting through the sections. Cant coleman and dont have slide gloves thoo

A kid in front of me fell a few days ago (we were going like 35 according to one of those smartphone speedometers) and I thought he was gonna roll around in front of me and I was gonna hit him and fall myself. scared the shit out of me. i guess i could have tried to shutdown slide but I probably would have been hit from behind. luckily he and his board went to the left and I took the inside of a right turn. either way i had a helmet on.

edit: downhill wheels? mine are getting bad and coned and such.

Abec 11 kills it. Reflex grippins are my favorite wheels ever. Sector9 race-forms are pretty close though and I think they're a bit cheaper.

I love my 80a cannibals. They gripped lines like you wouldnt believe and were telepathic with slides right out of the box. Now that ive beat on em for a few months they freeride as good as anything ive rode and still hold grip really well. These are the red ones and Im pretty sure they dont make them any more, the new white 80a's are supposed to be better though.

They're easy to slide but have a really gross wear pattern.

Precisely. The otang thane is really bad IMO. They're great right out of the box, but they're done in one run.

I think it'd be cool to go harder in the front... or wider in the back. Thats one thing I've never really messed with. You've given me some ideas!

i've seen people do harder in the back. probably just for going fast without much sliding. I suppose it would allow the back wheels to slide a bit more while you're trying to take a tight turn, sort of like how cars (and skaters I guess) pretty much steer around a turn with the front and the back drifts a bit. I usually see it with the same wheels just in different duros. i never thought about doing it with wider wheels...or even different sized ones.

My S9 raceforms are amazingly grippy on downhill stuff. Feels like I've got double sets of wheels on my board with them.

Lax, what Bustin model is that?

A lot of the GMR guys ride harder front. I the logic is that the harder wheels in the front will make it go faster but the soft well still grip the turns. Easier hook ups after a drift too.

i think i'm gonna have a go at it when I build that board again. I think if I go to th bustin store in NY they'll set me up with two and two versus having to buy 8 wheels.

nfarino117: Do you just use a paint pen on top of the front of your board? Or do you have to take it apart?

It should look something like this when its done except the thin spiral pattern lines will be white.

Yes they are. Maybe to prevent bending in the other direction? But those trucks are gnarly. Is I ever decide to spend the money and get precision trucks, Ronin would be my first choice.

That support pin does wonders. Mischo Erban let me test drive his board. Never felt anything so stable.

i tried a kids carbon mummy with surf rodz and it felt a little smoother and a bit different. I'd have to go a bit faster to notice huge differences though.

Nothing crazy just a hill we found. This is just like 30% of the whole thing. Shit goes on forever and has barely any cars since its a closed park. Watch in HD and put the sound on.
