Just made a little longboard preview clip, hoping to make a bigger movie by the end of this summer.

I've had three sector nine boards. my brother lost my Rapa Nui Cosmic from the Cosmic series. I still have my carbon trylam from the platinum series and sandwedge from the sidewinder series. They both rock the casbah and i don't think i could ever sell either of them. Even though i have some hard feelings with my trylam after I snapped my humerus in half through and through last year.

    Thought I'd drop by,

This thread looks like it has potential for win. I'll help it in the right direction:

Heres PART road I shredded all year. Be jealous.

About 3 miles long, 8% grade the whole way. Thats up to 40mph on the straights with frighteningly hard turns that you have to drift to keep a tight enough line:

Heres my wingman takin it way too wide... He hit dirt on this one:

Damn. Thats pretty crazy man. You got to ride it all year, I would die to ride it one day.

In other news, I ordered a Loaded Dervish with a set of 78a Gumballs earlier this week. I'm gonna throw my chargers on there. Can't wait.

Its so fun. I would die to see it closed to traffic for one day. That was the sketchiest part.

What flex dervish did you get?

I would die to ride it but would probably end up dying in the process. Not used to hills here in Florida

I got Flex 2 but I had to cancel my order from the site I originally ordered it from. Boardsports.com/Gearguys.com I was researching over at silverfish and read all the horror stories with their customer service and shipping so I told them to cancel it before it shipped. Their phone doesn't even work. I'm definitely going to buy it from milehighskates.com after the refund is placed. I'm gonna use some Reds bearings I have left over from an old skate deck.

    What are you riding?

    benmasters,
search the internet or yellow pages for a hardwoods specialist in your area. If you luck out you'll find one nearby. Usually most of their business is in flooring and trim with exotic hardwoods, but they carry all sorts of plywood like marine-glued birch and baltic birch for sure.

Lumber might not be the ticket. Thats why I think you have to search in the more esoteric markets like in the flooring shops.

yeah or hardwood supply companies. Both of them might have what you're looking for. I used to get marine birch for flatland skims at this hardwood supply co. not too far from my place. I think they did flooring too. Good luck.

Do you have a press? If so get maple and do all the laminates yourself. That way you can make wicked concave and all that good stuff.

4x 1/8" baltic birch pressed in a homemade jig out of foam with a vac, or a wooden jig.

titebond 3 glue ONLY (or epoxy, but i doubt you wanna deal with that)

and its lumber yards you wanna call. not flooring companies?
its not available in every area.

baltic birch are 5x5 sheets, not 4x8 so youll know you got it.

and read and read and read and read on silverfish. dont be a noob, just read in the boardbuilding section.

    well, shewt.

If you plan on making boards in the future I would say go ahead and make yourself a press. You just need to cut out a "ladder" of 2x4's cut with the kind of concave you want and a shitload of clamps.

Oh, and silverfish always yeilds good results. The guys over there are super helpful. You'll see me over there too if you start a thread.

Silverfish rocks. Helped me decide which board I should get. I was really looking into Insect's Mosquito but I decided I couldn't wait 1 month+ for a new board. I need to skate NOW! I ordered from MileHighSkates.com and saved 20 bucks on my dervish and gumballs. I'll post pics when it gets here. Hopefully I'll be able to ride at the FAU parking garages before summer semester is over.

Not really, but i have another board dedicated to cruising and carving. So this board would be geared towards bombing. Although i hear its alright to cruise on because of how low it sits.

    I got Flex 2...
    What are you riding?
Flex 2 is the good choice. The flex one is too stiff to take advantage of loaded's epic flex properties. You'll be really stoked though.

    Right now I'm riding:
-Flex 3 loaded pin (paris, khiro, zigs) for commuting/freestyle
-a cut down lush kilima (randal, jimz, kryptos) for rain/drifting/freeriding
-Kebbek revenger (bears, jimz/khiro, flywheels) for speeding/racing/tech

you would have to make a press or buy a roarrockit kid ( i think thats the name, i have one in the garage, i will look later )

making a press is pretty simple and straight foward, like i said check out silverfish. dont make any threads yet, just read all the stickies and search for whatever you need, i GARANTEE its already posted

Yeah, I'll be there for fall. I took this summer off. I've gone down them a couple times when going to class. I stopped before the bottom where people who park on the bottom floors turn to get out. I don't live in the dorms. I live right down glades rd. though.
