Daytona skim?

hey i tried to do a forum search for info on breaks in daytona but didnt find much, My family is having a small reunion there in june and i know it will probably be flat summer conditions but are there any decent breaks? I wont have a car but i might be able to take one of my relatives cars for an afternoon.

It's fun for flatland practice, I mean some skim on your trip is better than no skim. But no chest highs in Daytona.

get your family to do it in august and i'll be there

vilano is like an hour maybe less from daytona and flagler pier is real close to daytona if im not mistaken

You could go south to New Symrna if you have a car.

Drive to flagler or vilano, on the right tides you can reach some waves. i got lucky one trip, but it was rough

i've never had bad waves when i have been to vilano, make the drive there.

chrith claimed to ride some knee high liners in daytona

but i'd say hit up flagler pier (about 20 to 30 min away) or v-town (about an hour away)

ive caught it knee high once..crazy high tide though and a small swell

dont go to bethune....its sucks there now

try turtle mound..you have to pay to get in tho, 3.00 per person

yeah, i stayed at La Playa and got some fun skim in. the further north you go the better chances of skim you will have.
