How's that Blu-Ray Player treating you?

this was one of the primary reasons i bought the ps3. i am fairly snobby and aware of quality both audio and visual quality in products, but without direct comparison to other blu-ray players on my LCD it's hard to say where exactly it stands. In general movies look fantastic. Planet Earth blu-ray set is also very nice overall, although there are some very subtle things that annoy me in certain scenes (no one else seems to notice). however, i think it's the way I have the LCD setup, as I notice the same slight contrast annoyances while watching the grass on golf on HDTV. I think it has to do with how the LCD saturates green. Pretty sure I ahd the TV calibrated the way I wanted it at one point, then wifey reset to default on accident, so I'll have to spend some time with it again. Movies look great though. And of course, all A/V reviews of the PS3 player I've read say it's at least on par with most of the stand-alone players currently available. I do know the PS3 is limited in some high fidelity multi-channel sound output options, (my system is stereo, and ps3 output sounds very good through it so this doesn't apply to me) but something to check out if you have an expensive, high end, multi-channel system.

Yeah it has 16 player multiplayer online with eight different modes or something. And it comes out the 29th. I might be getting it, might have to order a new sponge my current one isn't holding up so well.

Try 16 different modes which includes a fracking 16 player free roam. You can customize your character too.

I really wonder if the servers will hold up for everyone on tuesday. Xbox Live has been upgrading there shit this whole month. Idk how good PSN is but expect some major lag. Playstation version has an install for the game.

Either way, I'm going to grab my preorder at gamestop at midnight on monday.

I don't really know if you will have trouble finding it. SSBB wasn't hard to find at all, all the stores near me had like 10 copies a week after it came out.

if you dont know shit about gaming then yes buy a PS3. Last I checked video games is about playing GAMES. PS3 could cost 100 bucks and I still wouldnt buy it because they have 0 games. If they actually had some decent titles then it would be worth it, but they have nothing exclusive that is worth shelling out that much cash for. Not to mention that the Xbox Live system is so far superior to the online offered by Playstation that its makes 50 look like a bargain
