Made a new category for old threads that answer routine questions.
If anyone wants to nominate some threads that should be included in there, I am all ears.

I appreciate your guys' enthusiasm but this isnt what I was getting at.
First, its the old thread FAQ, not the new thread FAQ.
More importantly, people know how to get sizing information off of websites. The question of "what size is right for me" does come up often, but almost always the person already knows the manufacturers recommendations and wants personalized feedback because they are on the fence between two sizes, or what have you. Posting sizing recommendations will not reduce those questions.
Additionally, manufacturers change their sizes and recommendations from time to time. They themselves should be charged with maintaining accurate up to date info. If you guys post it now, two or three years from now some of the information will almost certainly become incorrect, according to the manufacturer. But most likely, no one will be monitoring the skim online information, therefore it will become incorrect and give people false information, and create confusion. I ran into this once before when I had Vic's sizing info posted on skimonlines main site. At some point vic changed their sizing and for years the wrong info was posted on skimonline.
Not good.
It would be much more helpful to digg up some prior posts where someone asked for help with sizing and got some solid general information about how to make a decision (take into consideration where you skim, how good you are, how fast you run, etc etc...)

A trick tips thread would be nice, explain the difference between FS/BS, wrap, otb's. all that jazz. As the sport becomes more techy you can just add the tricks in.
Edit: I didn't see ur post till now Aaron, idk if anyones made a thread like that yet, I can do some searching though.
mmm tom green
You have a lot of good information about ding repair on the site, problem is people never look for it or explore the site.
Maybe moving that info to a sticky would work, or post a sticky linking back to the ding info...?
Just throwing it out...

Looking for old threads here because old threads have already received input from the community (i.e. lots of different people) on a given subject. That is what people are generally looking for on a MB. Popular concensus. Old threads provide that. Cut and paste weight recommendations do not.

in the past year that page has been viewed tens of thousands of times which is more than almost any thread. and it doesnt count people who come back to check out responses to their posts etc...Originally Posted by GnarKill1029
i.e. it is viewed by way more people than anything on the MB.
But I suppose it cant hurt to link to it in the old thread faq section....

This one is decent dealing with dropping the board, and one stepping, but there was a few jackass comments thrown in there to take away from it a bit. You could check it out I guess:
