    Default iPhone

I know there were a few people who jumped right on this when it first came out and talked it up pretty big. I was just curious as to what your thoughts are on it now after having it for awhile... Still worth the hype in your opinion? Buggy at all? What sucks about it that you wish you could change? What is the feature that you couldn't live without?

having my ipod touch, i think the iPhone would get even better. the texting, the mobile voicemail, etc etc. plus any of the times ive wanted to do internet things while not around a router. I frackin love my touch, i think the iPhone would definitely be worth it.

I've jailbroken it, haha. It's just Colby thats being gay.

I couldn't justify the $60 a month, but when you jailbreak a touch, it's worth it.

p.s. French is only spoken as first language in one province. The rest is english first.

the hype is 100% worth it. I've had it for a little over 3 months, and I have no complaints. there are some little things that are going to be fixed in the new release (like the fact that there's no copy and paste), but overall no major complaints.

if you jailbreak the phone, its value increases immensely IMO... for example, i have a guitar tuner that uses the built in mic and is really handy. i also have some sick games, an audio recorder, and some other awesome applications

google maps is really handy. some friends and i went hunting for a flatland spot with just my phone a few weeks ago. just looked at the satellite view and drove to nearby lakes and stuff.

if you have wifi, browsing the internet is great... everything works like a computer, except for flash. i forget what the specks are (i read it somewhere, maybe tuaw.com), but the iPhone is basically a computer with a 786mhz processor and 128MB of ram...

and just having a smart phone in general has been great for me. the fact that itunes syncs the phone and computers calender together (and merges the data) is incredibly handy

as far as changes i'd like, i would like the camera to be a little bit better, but that's only because the phone i had before was the Sony Ericsson K790 (which has a 3.2 mp auto-focus camera).... so i was a little spoiled

the EDGE data is slow... i don't really use it to browse the web, just to check email or check something if i really need to. but it still gets the job done, and when you have wifi, it's FAST

overall, it's one of the best purchases i've made to date. so, wait for iPhone 2.0 to come out... should be in less than a couple of months and will be running 3G data which will make EDGE look stupid. but DEFINITELY get one

it's like a computer. battery life isn't stunning, because of the large screen, but it's not terrible

browsing the internet on WIFI and listening to music- 4 or 5 hours
just making the occasional phone call- a day or two

it depends how you use it... i make it easy and just charge it each night

My GF got one and was hyping iphones so hard.

Like a month ago we were looking for a restaurant and we could not find the exact location. So i was like: "Pull that shit up on your phone". She says ok...then sits down and starts typing away. Finally the phone started loading a map at like 1998 dial up speed. It took like 15 minutes to load. We were eating already and the thing was still loading. hahaha. I was ragging her to bits and she was so mad. It was great.

jailbreak= a software unlock that allows you to put other little programs and applications on the phone, and is legal

unlock= a firmware (i think...?) unlock that lets you put any SIM card in, and is highly illegal.

Without jailbreaking, I never would have payed what I did for my iPod. It's so not worth it. And it's easy as frack to do, you go to a website once your on 1.1.1 and your done. It's impossible to brick an ipod touch.
