Shit like this makes me rethink if going to USF was a good idea... the campus is so damn urban and i never leave because i don't have a car... I wish sometimes i could have gone to college of charleston, that place is the coolest little big city i have ever been too. Will probably study in paris junior year, being able to speak french should help me out in the application process for study abroad. I went there once and loved it.

If you don't mind me asking, what stuff did it open your eyes to?

charelston is an awesome olace. Only part of south carolina i ever gave a shit about. Paris is also amazing. Ive ent a couple months there, and its still one of my favorite places ive ever been to.

Being in the city, my eyes were opened up to how things really work as oppsed to how the rest of the world thinks shit works. If that makes any sense. Especially in the entertainment/photo world, you just really get to know people, and watch how they work on a big stage. Shit comes off so big, and intimidating, and i guess just living here made me realize it isnt at all. It made me start taking people more as people, instead of for what theyve accomlished. I dont know. A lot of shit. More than i could attempt to ramble about. But most of it has to do with general knowledge in what i want to do, and basic life knowledge.

I plan on selling some of my equipment and I was wondering what you guys think is a fair asking price for it?

-Nikon d40 (with everything, charger, covers, etc.)
-kit lens 18-55 and 55-200 (No VR)
    -SB-400 flash
    -polarizer
    -Tamrac bag

Is $350 too high an asking price for this? It's all in great condition, it's just collecting dust in its bag. Makes me sad.

I'll give you five dollars and a bus token. Final offer.

But srsly that sounds pretty fair.

Alright thanks man. If someone on SOMB wants it I'll let it go for $300 but since that's unlikely I'll probably hit up Craigslist.

Nice black and white JC! I think it would look better though with some more detail in the foreground, but that might just be the small size and low quality on the web.

    Those are amazing, skiminkid.

Love the amount of foreground detail in the first... there's just so much to take in.

Great work Grayson. Always enjoy seeing your stuff.

SkimminKid the first shot you posted is great.

JC I think your shot could benefit from a portrait crop. Lots of detail but the you get lost in the composition you posted.

Trevor I like the 3rd shot. PP is really good, but the foreground material on the bottom left distracts a bit.

Thanks for the tip Gnip! Hope you threw that tire away Loving the sky in the capture by the way.

Skimin kid that first shot in incredible. What kinda processing did you do?

Here's another B&W shot I took a couple days ago. I wish we could only see the grass and the sky, I'd take the water and the rocks outta there.

I think it was, check the link! Reuters posts descriptions of where/what/why

Also, for all you technical photographers, they also post the type of camera and the settings they used.

edit - or at least they used to...

Yo dudes, i need some film help...

So i finished a 24 exposure roll of film, i get it processed at costco... i get 17 out of 24 photos, and the first like 6 shots have light leaks (un-intentional), so i got 10 solid shots from the whole 24 shots...

    First question:

How did the light leaks happen?! (My thoughts: I took a long drive from NJ to SC with the roll in my Pentax Spotmatic. Also, could it be the self timer? b/c i used it for the first time on that roll)

Where are my other photos? (I have no ideas for that one...)

    Thanks!

    EDIT: heres an example
