My day job is working as a technician at Intel so media/photography is not yet my "profession" yet. Basically as of now "Activfilms" runs more like a freelance company than anything. We shoot for many of the "top" companies in the automotive community (some of which are in our signature). Really though we are letting Activ grow by itself and seeing where it takes us, the company has only been around for ~5 months really and has truthfully grown much faster than expected, to a point where we cannot keep up(running on ~4hrs of sleep a night max). I'm a pretty humble guy in person, I know I've come off douche a few times on here but really I'm not, and actually hate talking about myself haha.. Alot of the photos I post on here are ones just done for personal gain and fun, many shots go unseen for a long time. If you have any specific questions on the company/my photography I'm up to answering

    Thanks bud!
Met up with a friend of mine for coffee/lunch and decided since we both had some extra time we would go do a quick shoot of his car before he put it away in the garage due to weather.

hahaha dude I can imagine. It's actually my sister's; I was visiting this weekend and kinda had to take care of it. Nigga jumps on the couch like there ain't no one, but I'm right there watching TV, and of course, like any other cat/dog, it jumped right on my balls. Such a pain in the ass, but I'm sure it'll be well worth it in a year.

Trevor, i had to do a double take. I thought dat rear was of an enzo.

The dusty cushion shot is sick! How did you do it?

    Sunshine by Gn!pGnop, on Flickr

Annnnd the original, because sometimes it's interesting to see what you start with.

It's not an HDR or tone mapped image by the way. Shot at 80 iso, and the K5 sensor is amaze at dynamic range. More than a 5d MKii!

@Gnip I wish man! I recently got in contact with the owner of a Black Enzo but man he is one private person! So right now I'm just building trust with him, he's actually a really humble guy and has helped me with my business quite a bit. Also I love the shots you just posted! That mountain range shot is just beautiful!

Wow that's pretty interesting. What about him is so private? Obscure e-mails? Calls you from a blocked number?

    Thanks dudes.

Sean If you're going to crop so tightly, I would straighten the horizontal lines a bit more. That, or give a bit more breathing room. I think I would have liked them a bit warmer as well, but that's all just personal taste.

Interesting to see you shot at 1/4000 to get that type of action freeze. Learning every day.

I took it a while ago, but if memory serves, I set the focus to the nearest then i smacked the cushion a little bit (so dust would come out). The sun is in a really good spot to get that shot because the lighting is a big part of the shot (The shot had no lighting equipment). But nevertheless, i shot about 25 shots of the same thing, the shot that i edited looked the best obviously. So, overall, trial and error. Also, i used a 50mm 1.8, so i got some bokeh of the dust particles. EDIT: I just remembered, my house was a little smoky that day from the oven, maybe why i got some light ray things shown more clear in the picture of the whole couch.

Anyway, your mountain shot came out amazing! Looking forward to more!

@Gnip - The owner is private I the way where he doesnt like having it known super publicly that he owns multiple super cars. This makes sense because bad stuff has happened when people through out that they own super cars. I respect him in that fact and dont push him into letting me shoot his collection.

@Rum - I'm primarily "just" an automotive photographer. But I get to test drive each car I shoot

Sorry I'm on mobile so replies are short and would like to critique also but will later haha

Went and shot some pictures of my girl and her horse, gotta say the 85 1.2 is not the easiest lens to shoot horses with! Had the toughest time focusing haha
