i dont have any pics but cahoon hollow was act not bad today. missed the tide by like a couple hours but it was still high enough to get some nice shorebreak practice in.

The slope is probably the best i have ever seen it in Salisbury, I was south toward the reservation yesterday.
Can't wait for some swell, it was OK yesterday but a little too chopy

Would anybody skim at this point in the year? It's supposed to be pretty nice this week, but I've never gone to the beach in the winter. Is it worth giving it a shot? How cold is the water?

depends what beach you go to. Peggotty is the only one around that really maintains its sand and slope year round (on the south shore at least). Most beaches are still in their winter mess.

I am getting really excited for the contest series. I've been working to nail down sponsors and get event permits at each of the beaches significantly ahead of time so we can get enrollment up on the front end. Currently the schedule is June 23 -western RI (likely Charlestown) July 7th - Cape Cod (wellfleet or eastham as we might shift the contest site to one of the nearer beaches instead of going out to whitecrest) July 21 - Seabrook NH and the Finals would be back on Cape Cod as a 2 day possibility, either 4/5 of august or 11/12 depending on when people go back to school and what permit availability looks like.

Wednesday was really good at Salisbury, I've never found Seabrook to really ever be better than Salisbury so wondering why the contest would be there instead of Salisbury? Permits probably?
Yeah Nate, we are actually still working it out. Part of it is definitely parking because unless you have a designated parking lot crowding out the street parking draws the wrath of the town very quickly. Also we are still in permit negotiation and it looks like Seabrook won't be it either most likely Hampton or North Hampton will be the venue because of parking availability. Just need to work out the logistics with the town.
Just so everybody knows, Exile skimboards and Alley-Oop have really stepped up and committed to making this series a success. That makes the stress of planning and organizing all of this much easier to handle knowing that we have solid companies behind us. As we go on I will continue to announce more sponsors. Water temperatures look to be pretty fantastic of late, I will be home in 2 weeks and really look forward to mobbing around skimming a bunch as I tie down loose ends for the skimboarding competitions and camps this summer. Exile Skimboards and Alley Oop (as I have already mentioned) are really helping out our cause and I look forward to what input you all have about making this contest series a success. Let's make it happen and have some fun.

My buddy who is helping with web design will be back on it thursday probably, it also is dependent on the town bureaucracy for final beach locations which is going to be a huge pain in the neck but shouldn't be too far off

If anyone is wondering Salisbury is in very good shape. Skim was great this past weekend-Fri/Sat/Sunday. Slope is crazy steep and its been working 3 hours prior to high tide.
Hope some of you guys scored on this past swell with the off shores
