Sore as a whore on nickel night.

Salisbury has been on fire since thursday, sessioned thurs-sunday. Headed back for a late lunch break to catch the oncoming high tide today. prob tomorrow too.

this is f'n awesome.

holy frack salisbury had at least 8-12 ft waves yesterday a couple times..but steady head high... best ive ever seen, but watch out though its kicking up a lot of LARGE rocks, watermelon size that will frack you up in the whitewash if you dont scope it out first. i was lucky enough to see it right before i hit and bailed, saving my new board...

best time today is from 12-3

8-12 ft wasn't reallly a stretch. Most of the waves mighta been that tall

Im debating about making it out tomm, but i gotta see how my NEW pads REapply.....

anyone else ever have an issue with guerrilla pads?, i bought em a week ago and yesterday was the second session with them on and both my middle and right side of my tailpad half-way peeled off....i just peeled it all off, slabbed a good amount of guerilla glue(haha) under them and stood on it for a few and now my laptop is on top of it...

anyone every restick tailpads?? that is fine to do rightt?lol

12 ft is double overhead, it was probably head high. the first few times you encounter head high shore break it can be intimidating and seem like it's 12ft, especially in new england where it happens only a few times a year. 12 feet is like the height of the top of a basketball backboard for reference.

was the board textured?...like bumpy

no its not textured lol i woulda figured to sand it.... however it has a non glossy finish(yet not really matte) so maybe that could have something to do with it....anyway i let the glue sit overnight and it looks like im good to go, only bad thing now is it left a little foam glue ALL around the pads, but it comes off just from peeling it around...

Liquid nails out of the caulking gun is the only thing that's worked for me. Still doesn't stay forever though.

What time you going? high tide is just after 5pm. I was there yesterday and it was the most power i have ever ridden at Salisbury and pretty much top 5 as far as power ever. It was absolutely blowing up the beach-dragged two people out of the water to safety. People died in my hometown last night-shit is crazy.

that being said, i am going to watch the surfside5 cam today and hit it when it's on the slope-guessing that'll be around 130-2ish i'll be taking my "lunch break"

I'll be at Salisbury a little after 3. You say beach access #6 is the best? Because I was down at #8 yesterday and it was fine, but i'm not sure what to look for in a good wave at Salisbury.

So, WED seems like the last hoorah for decent temps.... i should BE going up wed the 8th or thursday to salisbury... if anyone else can make it please PM me and let me know cuz the two buddies i normally skim with are out of town and im dying to shred it up...

like i said i WILL be going up regardless, but its always fun to skim with homies.. and of course bringing buddah.
