    Okay go..

    UPDATE

    1. theycallmekobe (Blake)
    2. Superdewey
    3. Rspinell (Ryan)

    im going for sure.

FAU WILL NOT SPONCER THE TRIP OR PAY ENTRY FEES

COSO will not fund anything that is travel. and under the travel detains u will find both the above. even if you had a club, and your clubs account has money in it, even money u put there. u can not use it for tracvel this semester. it is likely that they will do this next semester to

Jesse and C A can walk you through the steps. Most every college works the same when it comes to establishing clubs. Really a pointless thread...

Starting a club at a bigger college is more difficult...

Jesse had his pretty much started before even stepping on campus for his first class.

hahahahaha robs, chill. it's adam. we were next door neighbors growing up. adam, chill... they're the same. UF doesn't fund us (yet), UF doesn't see us as a sports club (yet).

skeezin, good work on this thread. you're not going to get a dime from your school without being an official school club.... do a car wash or a bake sale.

lol what im saying is FAU changed stuff up recently when "Calvary on Campus" got started we started in the old system and are ending with the new sytem.
i talked to the COSO president the other day and FAU will not fund travel this semester and pssibly not next semester (due to budget crisis)

jesse i was just trying to save u from all the back forth. i like this new FAU system, more student run. its just more paperwork and its good to knoe ppl. wink wink

FSU isn't funded by SGA (yet) either...we're a registered student organization (RSO) and part of the Sport Club Council, but sport clubs have this rule where you have to be around for a year before they'll give you any kind of money, so everything we've done so far has been paid out of our own pockets. We're doing a fundraiser this month were we're selling MaxWax candle's..they smell just like board wax and we get to keep 50% of the profits...so hopefully that'll help cover some of our upcoming comp. fee's

ha..ours took about a week to find out what paperwork needed to be filled out...then about a day to turn the paperwork in and find an advisor...we thought the advisor part would be hard, but Lentsch an I just randomly walked into the Oceanography building and picked an office and asked the guy and he said yes. It turned out he was from Santa Cruz and used to skim in his younger years and was willing to help us get started...so we got pretty lucky

never said it was harder i would assume that all schools require the same amount of work. all i was trying to do was let whoever wants to be the pointman on this know that i am already in contact with some of the ppl u need to talk to and i could help u out since im here anyways. i love the neg rep band waggon that im getting, b/c of it though, way to read the whole thing and realize the sarcasm in context guys.

yea FAU kinda has the same thing. COSO (for us) handles all the $$ and u are on probation for a year or so if your a new club. SGA used to control everything but now they dont lol

We had about the same requirements also at FSU.

I remember having to make a list of 10 members, a constitution, advisor, and an application form to become a registered student organization. Then to become part of the sport club council, we had the same requirements as a registered organization, but we also had to go talk to the sport club director for him to approve us, and that was it. Cake.

SGA controls everything for us, except all registered clubs (Greek, Sport, etc) each have their own specified budget committees which divide up the money to all the clubs. The sport clubs has their own, so we'll be getting money from there in the Fall.

so we have 3 people who want to be on the team....4 including me.

$90 dollars all together...roughly $25 dollars each person..not including gas.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE FCSO FOR FAU PLEASE RESPOND SO I CAN ADD YOU TO THE TEAM RIDER SECTION OF THE ENTRY FORM AND WE CAN START ARRANGING TRAVEL PLANS ETC.
