I did too..but i also skimmed my brains out. when we were there for 15 dyas, we spent about 8-10 hours in the water almost everyday.

the surf is comparatively a lot better from what ive seen. both times ive been the skim was big but mushy when the waves were head high and barreling

Its good , but its not that good every day. But it will be a huge improvement from LA
