Pics of the actual wheels:
Looks like a solid fitment:

The guy has aftermarket front fenders which are 10mm wider, but they look to have more than an inch of clearance. I may still get my fenders rolled, bumper tabs moved, etc., to have a little buffer.
I like those wheels. Always have.
Would you color match them or is the stock color close enough?
Purple Snakes
I'd leave 'em alone - the gunmetal is a little lighter than the pics on the dudes car (see the pic of the wheel in the box). It's darker than the car color, but I like the slight contrast in silvers/greys. If/when I do a rollbar, I'd maybe have it painted a matching gunmetal!
There's a set of BBS LM's for good price too, but still twice the Volks price - I've kind of gotten where I hate dropped massive $$$ on wheels since they tend to get abused so much. I think there's some super cheapies like Rotas (though on a budget, they're fine), and then some silly expensive like 360F and HRE, but Volks fall into a decent middle ground of good quality, weight and design.
nm. found my answer. haha

ive always loved the G8
looks sick in that first angle
hows my posting?

Yeah, composition and quality control.
Rotas also have models that do something some of the cheap Vette wheels do which is fracking retarded: visible fasteners on ONE piece wheels. i.e., they're just cosmetic. That's kind of like sowing buttons on a tee shirt.
With low GC you get wheels that are built with liberal tolerances so they're hard to balance (or you have to use tons of weights) and they have vibrations and whatnot. Low quality materials leads to cracks, fading/chipping/peeling finishes. Also the material/comp determines the weight of the wheel.
It's likely you'll get a decent set - most people won't worry about stress issues since they'll only see light street use, and as long as they hold air, they're probably structurally OK. Most people won't even think twice about the weight of a wheel (even though unsprung, rotating mass is equivalent to 4X the static weight).
Still, I'd keep an eye out for a clean set of used, better brand, vs. new low end. Wheels tend to be a high volume buy/sell item, and since they're a little cross brand/model compatible, you have a huge range of choices.
A guy I know picked up a G8 as a DD for like $24K. It's the 6.0L 361HP model, but it's well put together. It's hard to find mid/full sized, V8, RWD cars in the current market.
I would love to score a set of works for my car, but quite frankly, I can't justify spending 1000+ for a used set. If I had a job that paid more than minimum wage I could see it though. haha.
see above posted picture btw. ^
edit: The g8 is pretty cool. I saw one on my way to orlando a few months ago and had no idea what it was... it was the gt. Shit was real quick. I can only imagine the gxp... haha

QA1 is a nice shock. What car is getting those?
The Wifey© scored me the OEM spec rear deck spoiler for my BDay - comes pre-painted, replacement trunk springs to accommodate the heavier weight, etc.
I like the OEM stuff - I'll very likely add the front lip too.

I've sketched up some schematics on my latest idea, it works essentially the same as a twin turbo to reduce NOS lag.

Get a patent ASAP man, that's a money maker!
Thanks for the compliments on the car guys.
I know, that's why I put the copyright logo on the diagram for now.

Totally missed that...
The creativeness behind it reminds me of this:

Damn, I need to partner up with that guy.
I improved the design after Chrith pointed out a major flaw in the Nosnos lag.
