Very nice, big fan of Mustangs. Looks nice and clean too. I'm dieing for a car with some horsepower haha, my 100 horsepower civic just doesn't cut it Great gas mileage though, which is the reason I got it. Kinda regret it though. Don't think I will regret it anymore once gas goes to 5 dollars a gallon though.

Nice, turbos must suck pretty hard cause of the gas prices.

Random fact - Gas is only .45 cents a gallon in Saudi Arabia (sp?).

This thread should be made invulnerable to locking. Because every month people will put stuff in it, but since it's not a car forum it wont be active every week.

Stock STIs dyno at about 200-215 on the DynoLog dyno.

Pretty excited with the setup considering I did one of the smallest size turbo upgrades available for this car. My next engine plans once the wheels and suspension is set is an 18g with Meth/Water Injection. Should be good for around 320-330 on a Mustang.

Ill try and get the dyno charts up.
Nice...now how long till the poor little WRX synchros give out? :P

Now that I have read the rest...your rex is looking sick nukka, but I would go easy on shifting for sure. I don't think the trannys are really that weak, I think most the problems w/ WRX's is that people try to shift like their drag racing all day every day and just tear the synchros to shit.

...didn't even see those...their ugly as shit too, yeah they don't have ludacris paint jobs, but slammed on "dubs" is just straight gay imo.

Quick whats the best way to make a good car ride and handle like shit?

Yup...throw giant heavy wheels on it and slam it to the ground...gay. What's wrong w/ some respectable looking 18's and a suspension that will ride better...not worse.

    Once again...hideous.

Here's my bro's EVO VIII, great example of how to make a car look good...not gaudy. Light wheels, wrapped in 285/30-18's, no body kit, just engine work, and an excellent tuned suspension...making 330 to the wheels in CO Springs on a dynojet I believe. Looks beefier than stock, but still very subtle...but on the track it's a beast.

Just for reference he went to a Time Trials event some time last year...the only car that out ran him was a Noble M400, which beat him by a long shot and should have. There were plenty of cars that 'should' have beat an EVO...namely an Acura NSX caged out w/ full downforce...completely track prepped, plus some Vetts, Porsches, ect.

OK, well I guess I'll just contibute right now.

Kids: Do NOT get raw polished aluminum wheels unless you want to spend 8 hours a week keeping them clean. I find if you want a shiny finish, polished looks better than chrome, but goddam it's a bitch.

So I have/had some CCW SP500's for my street setup - they look amazing when they're cleaned up, but one wash or 2 weeks even just sitting in the garage and they're hazed up.

So I've been thinking about possibly chroming them - I know, I know, chrome doesn't sit well with some folks, but it's kind of cool, ol' school and it's 1000X easier to maintain (Wash. Dry. Shiny.). Still I wasn't totally convinced plus a little goes a long way.

So this guy who wants to do something crazy with powdercoating posts an "I'll trade my IForged 19"s for some SP500's in the same size". Well shit. OK. Only shipping costs.

So right now my wheels are in-route to Maryland. Side note on some great CS - John down at CCW boxed and shipped them for me - plus I always like to check out what he's got going on (saw some "secret" stuff being developed for GM and Jay Leno )

I kind of got out of the blacked out wheel look - but it does look good with yellow, and they're not completely black! So anyway here's what I'll have when he sends them back - they're basically new too, < 1000 miles.

    IForged Aero's
    18x10, 19x11
    Semi-Gloss black centers
    Chromed Lips (1.5" and 2.5") - Big Brake cut/offsets
    265/35 front, 305/30 rear Dunlops

It's an extra good deal for me as my tires have closer to 8K on them and the IForged. The other thing is my possible plan of a little widening And the 3- piece construction would allow for an easy (and semi-cheap) conversion from 19x11 to 19x13.

    So these are out/gone/traded:

And these are on-the-way when he can turn them around:

Excellent. I know the blacked out look isn't the most up to date fashionable look anymore, but I still think black wheels will almost always look badass.
Is this widening you speak of wheels only or are you talking widening the car?

Yeah, there was almost no downside - newer tires, slightly more expensive 3-piece wheels. At very worst case, I can do another trade if I get these and decide against them - hell the line for the trade was like 10 people deep!

If I do some L5 read fenders I'd get the rear's widened 2" so I could run a 355/25! But I'll run these just like they are.

My tranny is holding up really well. Ive read so much on these cars that I have a pretty good understanding on how to maintain the transmission with upwards of 350 whp. Only time I ever shifted hard was on accident when I first got the car and drove it like I drove my Mustang haha.

Thanks for the compliment though, I want to get some tint on it and maybe a front lip, but I need to get some pics of how she looks right now.

Stoked DTs back for some car discussions.
