So uhh the new 09 WRX does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. and has a pretty quick 1/4 mile. I might just have to sell my bugeye for one of these bad boys.

Yeah...they look horrible now. I have seen some Evo X wagon concepts now too...ugh. The Evo X is sexy, if they go the wagon route with it that's ghey.

I used to think they were ugly... and I still do. But god damn theyre practical and fast as hell. Ive seen numbers up to 400 whp with only a few upgrades that would be considered minor in other car communi titties. Think about it, AWD, enough room for everything, and a pretty ugly/sleeper look to fool most rich joe shmoes.

I like the forester. It looks like it needs a greenhouse chop. That would defeat the purpose of having a fast wagon, but it looks pope-mobile-esque in some ways. I think it's cool, but a bit of a money pit to do that swap unless he has some sponsors or something. I respect it, but really, give me a TSX or Accord coupe over having to build that. Lose money on the resale too. Just doesn't make economic sense to me.

If I had enough money to do something like that, I'd buy 5 series wagon or something.

You can do a swap for relatively cheap if you plan it out and sell the parts off your car. I think the forester swap, just the swap not his other mods, cost him around 4k. And most of the guys that do the swap get there moneys worth on the track and the events they go to. The whole point of a swap is to not be economical about it, but to have fun with it. Thats why there willing to spend the money. And of course a person that doesnt have a good paying salary job is going to be hesitant in doing a swap because of lack of sufficient funds, but if you DO have a good paying job a swap is pocket change.

I suppose. I had a friend who swapped a GSR JDM engine (is that the b16?) into his 99 civic hatch. kept it flat black, flat black rims, stock panels and lowered and it was nice. It seems like a lot of work though.

There are so many sleepers like that around my area. The tattered looking primered hatches. Race one and find out what it has. haha. My friend's friend had a b18 in his hatch and it was so shitty on the outside, but he popped the hood and it was spotless. You could have dinner off the valve cover. haha

yeah that was sort of how his was. He stripped the interior out at one point but said it was too loud. He also had no cats and low restriction exhaust on which didn't help.
