I don't care if that 240sx's engine was built by jesus, it's still the exact opposite of bad ass. I'm all about a sleeper, but that shit just looks dumb as frack.

Craigslist my friend, and it truly is a remarkable car. I've wanted one ever since I saw them in a magazine when I was younger, but with the 426 hemi instead of the 383. I'll try and get some, but I've been up in Lake Forest for the past week so I'm not by any of the babies.

I'm going to do the OEM front lip to match my OEM rear wing - I like the understated look, the OEM quality is great and it comes pre-painted (so it's an easy DIY install).

I just recently found this splitter that I really dig, looks OEM, compliments the OEM front lip, protects it (it has flex/shock mounted fasteners, uses all OEM connection points, it's metal too). No gay adjusters or anything. Nice contours to match the lip. It's made by Coastal Metals (they make several S and Z accessories).

I dig on that car too because it's got a great custom look, *but* that's a custom cutout OEM hood, those are OEM wheels just painted with some 15mm spacers - creative way to customize on the cheap. I'm going to be doing the same thing to my hood (though asymmetric cutouts on both sides).

6061-T6 Aluminum and then I believe it's anodized black - looks flat. Apparently they hold up pretty well too. Probably easy to touch up (definitely vs. finished paint).

DT, At first glance it looks like dry carbon. If it's metal I'd like to use one for a mold and lay up a few. If there's a market for metal OEM style S2000 splitters, there's a market for dry/wet carbon ones. I REALLY like that one

Out of curiosity, do you have any actual objective performance metrics stock vs. current state of tune? I'm assuming that's the 4.0L V6 @ 236HP out of the box?

The owner of urd who tuned my truck had the same set up as me before he supercharged and has plenty of dynos printed out testing his different maps... all the after market stuff made my truck run very lean so we leveled out a/f ratio and increased the rev limiter. this taco (06) came around 250 outta the box. the hp readings are different on the newer tacos cuz of emission testing bs, seems like every year the number gets lower. i still need an actual dyno but i know from reading others im up close to 3

If it's "lots" then I hope you mean 300 to the wheels...either way it's a sick truck. A lot better than all the douche bag rednecks around here that have full size trucks jacked up way too high with retardedly loud exhaust.

There's no way it's 300rwhp, but 300 at the motor is pretty respectable for a 4.0L motor with only external bolt-ons. It still seems a high to me, but maybe those motors are super corked up from the factory (and have a really poor tune).

My Dad just picked up his second Taco, the other one had roughly 250K miles and it was tight as a f****** drum when he sold it. I think it had a starter swap and a couple of set of tires. Amazing.
