Looks good! I guess it's not surprising to see so many Subbies owned by skimboarders, but damn a lot of people have them.

Oh yeah, any body on here from San Diego? I'm going to be there for GT Academy the weekend of July 13th to hopefully secure a spot in the Top 16. SOMB meet-up y0!
"Congratulations to our Top 32 competitors, who beat out a field of nearly 400,000 participants to compete in this year’s GT Academy 2012 National Finals. The 32 finalists (pending eligibility confirmation) will take part in a live head-to-head competition at the GT Academy National Finals event on Friday and Saturday, July 13th and 14th, at the Jolt’n Joe’s Gaslamp – a short distance away from the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con."

well, i'm over the dart. i'm onto a new five door focus or a new honda fit. i would finance and get the payments out of the way as quickly as possible, and wait until i'm done with payments to take it to the track. i don't have that kind of money to track a car i'm trying to pay off. anyways, the reason i'm looking at these cars is because of the 5 door option, and because i'd be using it to transport people, surfboards, and music gear. honda is my favorite japanese auto maker and ford is my favorite american. i could pay it off in 3 years easy, since i'm still living at home and not paying rent, and then move out. i used to have a honda element that i got new, and i loved having a new car. i'll get a basic warranty that's over when my payments end so i don't have to worry about that being in the way when i want to get it out to a track. i won't be racing it; simply learning how to drive on a track, so i'm not worried about crashing into other cars as much as i would be with racing. i'm gonna save up for a used mini s for wheel to wheel and faster driving. anyways, just checking in with my new plans.
nice gli, honda, and sickness on your qualifying, cabo. also, nice sooooobs!

Listed my jeep up for sale and am hoping it sells some time soon. Have been looking at 128i/135i's 335i's, 03-04 e46 m3's, 350z's, s2000's, etc. realistically i think the 335i would work best since it would be the most spacious but its also the priciest on there.
Get a 335i! I miss mine so much, are you looking at the e92's?

I'd die for a 335i, my dad has a convertible 335. i'm looking at 07/08's of the 335i's. At the same time i'd love an e46 m3 too though.
I miss her soBut being able to save that much more feels even better. I'm going to wait 2 years before I buy something that expensive again.

I'm sure i'll regret the decision when i'm older, but shit i want a fun car and my jeep just isnt what i want. I'm stupid for dumping so much money in it.
I made that mistake, I want to say don't do it but its your money haha, I was 18 when I decided to get the 335i. I thought "Oh I got a unreal job for a 18 yr/old why not buy a 35k car" well then I got a gf, gas, food, bills, business and couldn't afford it while having financial security. Right now the most important thing to me is getting a place for me and the gf to move into by the end of the year. Then in 2 years I'll look for a car, maybe M3 e92![]()

Pretty much where i'm at now. I'm not going brand new, i'm staying as close to 20k as i can to guarantee financial safety for myself, plus it's going to be registered and insured under my dad to keep the rates substantially lower. Overall i think it'll be worth it, considering i'm selling my jeep while it's still valuable, rather then have something go wrong on it(it has 170k miles) and it be worth absolutely nothing.
sorry to break the bad news, but i just went to buy a new car and they said they would give me 2200 for my jeep. nothing wrong with it. 2 year old transmission and completely new elec system. 175000 miles.
what were you expecting to get?
Not doing a trade in, selling it privately because they rape you on trade-ins. i'm thinking i can get 8-9 for it, KBB gives me 10k for it in fair condition, even with all those miles, and thats not including the 8 grand worth of stuff i put into it.
Don't expect money you put into a car to increase its value, not usually how it works. Most of the time bone stock factory will take more money than 'upgrades'.

Hahaha are you fracking kidding me? 10 grand for an old jeep with nearly 200k on the clock. You need a reality check. Get your daddy to help you
im searching furiously for a old VW Rabbit cuz i wanna make it a project and restore it. has anyone done something like this
Been getting some great runs in lately. New alignment has made the car nice and tidy. I just need tires and I should be hanging with some really top-notch cars/drivers.
Teaser from the last few weeks:
I know what it's worth, i listed it high knowing i'll get talked down. It's not like i pulled the number from my ass, 06 CRD limited's retain their value since their diesel and will actually last over 200k easily.
Some updates. It's cleaner now. Just washed the off the moss lol. It moves on the road after front caliper and master cylinder replacements (with full system bleed, of course. The old fluid was midnight black).
Fuel tank replacement ($275). After I removed the fuel tank and saw what was inside, I wish I had never started it. Gnarly. I may be replacing all fuel lines.
The trans leaks like a mother. Hoping for a "liquid fix" but I may just replace it.
All that's left is a windshield and to pass inspection.
So I squeked into the #16 spot at finals and will be going to Silverstone! I had to make a pass on the last lap or the last race in the last corner to get enough points! Passed under braking into Spa's chicane, it was gnarly.

Anybody have any tips on what would be a nice new car? I'm not expecting anything like a ferrari, but something that runs good for a price that's not way too steep. I don't have a budget because I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks if the car is worth the money, but then again, not getting a ferrari..
PS. It would be my first car so I don't have THAT much money

Looks awesome man! If my car wasn't a hatch I would do that in a second ... I just don't know how they would handle the little wing in the back. How much?
I'm here for a good time, not a long time.
