    Default Barcelona vs. Lissabon

a buddy of mine wants to give me a ticket to one of those 2 cities as a birthday present, i could choose where the trip is going to.

which should i go to? i like to think of lissabon - lisboa in portugese right?- so i guess there's more skim potential there?

    anyone knows?

hehe Then you know what hard is... If you come to portugal, you will be welcome here... and the guys will skim with you. and show you the spots.
You can come to me or mega, in Sesimbra, it's south of lisbon just pass the bridge. Come To sesimbra and ask where is Diesel Pub the ask for mega or Xapa. we will take you to the beaches.

oh, okay that could be a cool plan, my buddy wanted to go to barça to skate, but i'm not much of a skateboarder (i'm also not the best skimboarder) but at least i have more fun on a skim then on a skate, i'll teach my buddy how to ride some waves i hope

we'll see, if i'm coming to lisboa i'll PM you, it's gonna be end of march/april-ish.

stoked right now, but also a little ehh nervous/anxious/excited.. i don't know what to expect ..

yeah, of course, u wouldnt have any kind of problems.
most of the people in here speak "an understandable english", so dont worry.
ask guys who have already been here they'll tell u.
but if u are coming down to portugal to skim, talk to someone from here first, so that u know where to go

I'd go to Lissabon... But then again I'm already going to Barcalona with school so that's an obvious choice.

Just go to Lissabon Richard... When the skim is good!! Barcalona will always stay... Good waves come and go...

Hey, okay, that's pretty cool, but as a tourist i always try to show some goodwill you know? i think it's kind of rude to start talking to somebody in a language that is not their own, nor their country's native language.
So i guess i'll dive in to a "how to learn portugese" book, and learn at least the simple terms like "i don't speak portugese, please excuse me, where's the toilet" things like that always fun, i know it in spanish (no hablo espanõl, como esta, muy bien, bla bla bla) and in French (je ne parle-pais francais, etc) and german, (ich spreche kein deutsch, schweinhund!, etc etc)
just the standard, easy things you know, always good to know, cause i know out of experience that if i see someone try i'd much rather help him.
