Dern skamboarders!

Well, my weekend wasn't going well, I hit my head skating, then had a bad stomach ache for the past 2 days, today I went to my sister's graduation(2 hours of boring talking), then I head down to miami for some family party. I had some food, looked out over my cousins apartment and the waves looked fun, so I went down and it was some nice knee/shin high lines, I get one ride, a pretty good one, then the life guard comes up to me and say that no skimboarding is allowed today because some kid got hit by a skimboard and had to go the hospital. I don't have any details about the kid or what happened. But of course a kid gets hit the one day I'm in miami.

Yeah people gotta watch out for those flyin skimboards since the beaches are so damn small. Sorry that your bummed out about it.

Well, there probobly was very little room to skim, Miami beaches get extremely crowded, probobly one of the most crowded beachs in the US, you can't walk two feet with out stepping on someone. But still, one accident shouldn't ruin it for everyone.

yooo i was there 2!!!realll gay!i talked to the lifeguard and he told me that after 8th street they werent putting any restrictions so i went to check but it was almost impossible to find parking.he also told that if i waited until 5 i can skim cause he was off.so i just grabbed something to eat and went back and he was gone. So i skiimed but the worse thing of it all is.........my bag got stolen with my wallet my cell and my keys 2 my car. oo and they stole the new red hot chili peppers album! so yea spent the rest of my nite in south beach with a locksmith tryin 2 get my car open! so yea thats my story 4 that day. yo walruz when do u go,maybe we can meet?

yea.. i got there around 10 and within 15 min i had a lifeguard come down saying we couldn't skim b/c a 3 yr old got his head cracked open by some kook ass skimmer that nobody knows. he said to move up so we went up a bit and started up only to have another guard tell us the same and move up, this time citing that a lady was also hit yesterday. so we moved up to 3rd-6th st area which is unguarded and were left unbothered for the rest of the day. i'm gonna talk to the guards i know and find out who this skimmer was b/c from what i'm told he was kinda looking to hit someone and if thats the case, i might have to let him see what it feels like getting smacked around by a skimboard.. i'm pretty sure a 3 yr old didn't deserve to get his/her head busted open.. and i really don't enjoy not skimmin all week b/c its flat, gettin some sort of waves, and then getting shit from guards tellin me i can't ride bc of some kook.

Man thats seriously messed up. I'm just beginning skimming and I know etiquette and at least a bit of common sense and respect of other peoples space.

That sucks that you got your bag stolen, I was out around 2, too bad I didnt know the lifeguards end at 5, I stayed till like 6:30. I was skimming the same place that I was last time with you guys, I'm not sure the next time I'll be in Miami, but sometime over the summer I may stay a week with my cousin.

w/e i learned my lesson, im never taking down myy bag gonna leave everything in my car!yo we should all like meet up @ 1st and collins and work our way down the beach???
