    Default textured finish

so i just arrived home after a 24-hour trip from Canada. and my new exile was awaiting me

so i ordered it with a textured finish and wondering if it's best to sand the spots where i'm putting the tail pad and arch bar?

yes sand it smooth surface=better bond. be sure to use fine grit and get all the dust off with a damp cloth or something. I dont know how far you should sand down so..

yes. sand the spots where the pads will go. Here is Peluso's advice.

really easy. sand till its nice and smooth. you cant frack it up unless you sand the same area for a long ass time. should have a good amount of cocaine-like white powder produced. wet a towel and get all that residue off. alcohol the area if you want it really clean before application of the pad.

I traced my pads with a crayon then sanded away. It shouldn't take much effort at all.

I wouldn't use a crayon to trace it, too waxy.....
