There was some incredible Velvet Underground material at the Warhol museum we went to up in Pittsburgh.
I feel like I like it...Originally Posted by DT

timeless.
grab both volumes of live 1969. i like the versions on that album better than any of their studio recordings. some kind of love is to die for.
Good music day today - while I had the vault fired up, I nabbed some of my John Cale stuff too (the Eno collaborative work), then I migrated over to Eno, and then got into a whole Robert Fripp groove.
you should go Talking heads - remain in light while you're in Eno mode
Mojique holds a package in his quivering hands
Mojique sends the package to the american man
Softly he glides along the streets and alleys
Up comes the wind that makes them run for cover
He feels the time is surely now or never...more.
Awesome recommendation - Remain in Light and Fear of Music two incredible Eno produced Head's albums (probably my favorites).Originally Posted by ZapBulletRider
I also migrated over to some to some Pixies and Dandy Warhols.

as much as I love the original, I think Phish took "Rock N' Roll" to new heights. Check out this version. From rock, to ska, to ambient, building back into a glorious crescendo at the end. One of my favorite jams of all time. Even if you don't watch the whole 30 min thing, at least listen to the jam take off out of the song, around 5:20. Trey's ripping. And then check out when the guitar comes back in at 26:00. Amazing shit, unfortunately the video's not much, but the audio's good. Best part about it was this was like 2:30 am in the middle of a solid midnight-to-sunrise 7 1/2 hour set.
(still uploading, has like 10 mins left)
It became part of their regular lineup after they covered "Loaded" in its entirety during one of their Halloween shows, I'm sure some people didn't even realize it was a cover (though most the phish fans I knew were familar w/ TVU)
anybody watch this? It's badass, and it took me a long time to rip it from DVD > convert to WMV, and upload.
there's no player contols, noob.
jay kay. lookin' at it in a few.

after 5 mins or so the video is pretty crappy, b/c it's only hand cam, so I recommend just having it playing the background while doing other shit
