    Default Double wraps anyone?

Have you ever done one? Not a wrap then a quick 360 but a double wrap?

I think he means doing a wrap, then turning back into the wave and wrapping again.

If Grady Archbold hasn't done it... it can't be done

i think he means like doing a long chilled wrap and when you get to the bottom of the face you turn back up and do it again...then ride

i think it would have to be a pretty gnarly liner to pull it off. on just ur everyday shorebreak i dont think u'd have enough time for the second wrap, u'd already be back on the sand

ud probly have to put some sort of fins on your board so you could do a fast enough cutback to get enough speed to get up the face again, basically just like smacking the lip twice while surfing.....this would definately be a sick idea for a nice tow-in session with some tweaked skim sticks with little tiny fins on em

I'm not sure what you mean, but I think I saw a surfer do it. So if a surfer could do it I sure a skimboarder could. It would be just harder on a skim.

are you talking option 1 or option 2 i made here. F/S to F/S wrap in option one or F/S to B/S in option 2. both seen hard, 2 a little easier probably. you would need a lot of speed and probably catch the wave early. A good shorebreak and youll probably only get one wrap off before the wave barrels over.

I used to do then back in the day at Treasure Island--it is similar to illustration 1.

You had to have good speed but and a very certain type of wave that sets up real early and holds it's face for a while. It was one of my fav tricks. T.I. broke so sweet in the late 80's--the faces would set up and just sit there and wink at you forever! It was better there than anywhere I skimmed in Florida back then.

I was just wondering if maybe I invented this double wrap, because I haven't seen anyone do it.

i think ive seen a double backside wrap on a flow rider. It seems like it would need to be a slow and weak wave for it to be done for real.

Thats not a double wrap, that is a wrap to like a fs line and going up the face and doing a nice little spray and back down again

It actually works best on a powerful but early set up wave--it has to hold it's face for a little while and not suck up.

I used to do them just like a regular BS wrap--right after the first one go straight into another one. You get there early with good speed dig that rail and wrap then do it again.

Yeah you guys wouldn't believe how sweet T.I. was back then. That is why still to this day I have trouble getting stoked on our waves that we get now.
I used to even think the east coast waves were not that great in comparison because they didn't set up as early and hold there. When a wave sets up that early but still breaks close and has some power--sweetness!
