i made a dvd through itunes , but it only plays on the computer , not on any dvd players. Help?

It's a standard DVD format with a VIDEO_TS folder and BUF/IFO controls files, etc?

Assuming so, the burn speed seems to greatly effect the compatibility with DVD players. Try burning is at the slowest speed. A slight alignment delta between the two drives is compounded by the faster speed.

Also DVD-R seems to be read more consistently in standalone DVD players vs. DVD+R.

Also #2, some brand media/media surface color is more/less compatible - I've had the best luck with the pink/purple media from RITEK (rebranded under several labels). This has to do with the laser attenuation.

If you're burning the correct format/structure, on a DVD-R at the slowest speed and it still doesn't read, you're player may just not be compatible (or at least with your specific blanks).

my opinion is that if you haven't made a menu screen sometimes it won't play
