Shit it is high tide basically... these winds are ruining everything, especially on top of the already eroded beaches.

nothing was reachable today. Winds were killer. Used the Vic as a sponge cause the waves were huge.

Monday is supposed to be chest high with off shores at 5-10 kts. This looks like its going to hang around till wednesday.

Damn, well nevermind then. I still think the beaches will be a complete wreck though, check the cams and look what a ridiculous washing machine this storm is making in skimmable distances.

Oh there is no doubt the beaches will be fracked but there will still be waves. I'm probably going to go surf low tide tomorrow and then look for something to skim.

I really want to see pictures from today though.

Well its real clean 3-4ft with light offshores... however, they still look like they are breaking too far out. Anybody check it out yet? Whats the word.

I'm still down for tomorrow I guess. It's kind of too late for me to go now. I would only get an hour in. If it's worth it I'll be there. How are the beaches?

thats wat i thought but monmouth seemed decent, i skimmed from about 1030ish till like 230 with a little break in between. I didnt have enough speed on some of them but most of them were definetly makeable..i hate skimming without a slope !

I skimmed at the best spot I've ever skimmed in Jersey today. Granted I haven't been to that many places but this spot was working great today. There was a decent slope and the waves were breaking real nice. Alot of fun. And aside from my hands going numb and me not being able to grip my board, take off my wet suit, or open my car I had a shit load of fun. I have work.

I invited him to XXXXX, it was breaking real nice but the transition was a little fracked up with all the current in the water. Im just happy to see that theres still some slope and skimmable waves. Felt great to be back there after a few months. Surfers were having a field day... in and outs like nothing.

Hmmm Ill skim with you elsewhere... but as the general trend of skimonline right now, the place is "secret." I guarantee youll find equally good skim at any other decent break. You can come out with RJ and myself next week if you feel like skimming the long branch region.
