new smyrna skim [video]

on the way up to school, the fam stopped for a week in new smyrna, and my brother and i found some really great waves for summer in florida. (i also got to skim with chrith and beachbull one day, and that was much fun as well)

Looks like some fun skim. My only suggestion and this is just a preference... don't duck into barrels that are not there, or are too small to get into anyway. That is my one pet peeve about skimming. If it is to small to get into or there is no barrel at all just throw a bigspin or something with some speed.

No more head ducking into white water haha

pretty much. i mean, when you first start to (try to) get barrels, you get really stoked trying to tuck in and have water crash on your head, but really, a barrel is only cool because you are inside a wave and that is an amazing thing. but if water is just crashing on a back, it's not really impressive or rewarding. but hell, it's all about stoke so w/e.

but anyway, change the song and it could be a very nice video.

and about the "stoke" thing... i re-watched it, and to be honest, it was mostly stoke. it was just me and my brother skimming on a basically deserted beach. we didn't think we were getting shacked legitimately, we were just having fun. but none the less, point taken

EDIT: about the liners, it looks deceiving. there really weren't frontside "liners" coming in. there were waves you could catch right, but it wasn't a line type wave...
