I'll take a $13.00 pair of Polarized glasses from Walmart over ANY named brand glasses that aren't. IMO, Polarized IS that big of a deal...

if you can get 13 dollar polarized glasses, how come polarized spys or electrics are like 40 bucks more than those same glasses non polarized? is the polarization different or are name brand polarization just expensive for no reason?

my guess is the same reason a crappy thin trendy brand shirt is $22 at pacific sun, and a heavy cotton generic t-shirt is $8 at Mervyn's.

there are definitely different qualities of polarization. I have a $200 pair of costas for fishing and they are a ton better than my 10 walgreens polarized aviators.

i agree though that sunglasses have to be polarized.
