I'd assume that mileage, year, etc. are supposed to be apples to apples.
There's a good chance you've handled my ass-pennies. That gives me the edge.

The new IS 350 is a sweet ride - a buddy of mine has one with a nice set of 19's, really sick sort of sky blue metallic.

I do like the G35/37 cars too - I can only speak from personal Lexus experience, but they treat you like royalty at the dealership.

I ordered a factory rear wing for my GS, it came in with some nick on the underside when I went to pick it up (I saw it, wasn't even visible!). Then next day aired the same part, then PICKED UP my car, dropped off a RX loaner (I said I didn't need it, but they insisted), did the install, brought my car back.

Everything from oil changes to having some L-Tuned parts installed was always a 5-star experience. Never a hint of a problem with the car, felt new 3 years later when I sold it.

I'm sure the Infiniti dealers do a good job too as Nissan's "High Line" brand, but for sure a Lexus is worth every cent.

The IS350 for sure!!! One of my employees is considering trading in his 3 series for one. So he went to the dealership and test drove the 350 last week and fell in love with it... He said the car is amazing inside and out for the price range...

Look at the ass on that thing. So sexy...

the question is, do you want a japanese car, or a japanese car.

    hope that helps.

edit -- and how do you guys afford these kinds of toys. to me a honda civic is a big purchase.

The new G sedan has gotten rave reviews. Are you looking at auto's or manual's. The IS350 was not available in a stick last year......but they said it will be soon...not sure if it is yet.

Both are awesome cars. I think the G is going to just barely beat the IS in the 1/4 mile and in 0-60 times. Reliablility should be stellar on both. Interior probably will go to the IS...only because lexus interiors are second to none. G has the signature VQ35 (350z) exhaust tone.

Big picture: IS is a little more luxury. G is a little more sport. Either way you are already ahead because you are smart enough to know that they both kick the shit out of a 3 series for the money.

PS- I would go G......but Im a die hard nissan guy.

go with the Lexus, the is350 is soooo nice...Now if it was a g35 coupe then i would go w/ that, but the sedans just dont compare to the is350.
