Well you see, since you are riding a woody, wax wouldn't do at all. i would recomend half inch long nails and screws with lots of rust on them. That way when you jump on you are gauranteed the ultimate grip.

Oh and make sure they are wood screws, not drywall screwa, because those are for kooks

EDIT: remeber the points have to be comming out of the board where you step in order for penetration to occur

I'm ordering a custom and was wondering what you guys thought about a board like this: (proshape, textured. paulo teal color, with sky blue logo, and vic pads. not sure about the bottom yet.)

Personally, I think the white beakers would look pretty sick, but it's your board. Get what you like the best.

i don't see what the big deal is, i think the vic pads look better than the skimshop pads on this board. and, it's not like exile makes there own pads to compete with vics anyway. but what color bottom do you think would look best?

i was thinking teal or maybe sky blue to stay with the color scheme but white doesn't show scratches as much either.

Beaker pads look better than vic's. As far as color scheme, all blue and white seems to repetetive to me. I like the idea of black or maybe even purple?

Me personally I would go with a white bottom but I agree with A-ron that is a little repetitive. i wouldn't care if those were the colors I wanted though. Vics pad=no bueno IMO

I like white or teal on the bottom, just to keep it clean.

But a light orange/cream color would be sick as hell.

didn't someone post a pic of a textured teal board? I remember not really liking that color in textured.. although def go for textured. and I dunno how the light blue logo would look on a teal board, I'd go for white logo just in case

i wouldnt get the vic pads...and i think the reason you are thinkign they look better is because you photoshop is off. The vic pads look super white so they stand out, while the skimhop and beakers have more of a off white tint. they are all the same white when seen in person.

And good idea with this thread, but unless it gets stickied, i guarentee you it wont stay on the front page and next week youll see people posting "how do i wax" "what board wedge or foamie" "look at my new stick! frack the show your board thread that i saw 2 threads down" "pink, teal, yellow, purple, orange, while, or black board! i cant decide for myself so you pick!"
