I got tech 2's, my bro got normal bb fins, they're heavier and cramp under my feet, plus they work like normal fins. never used tech 1 so have no comment on that.

because, their sport kinda sucks to be honest. think about it, bodyboarders on are a sponge board while surfers are doing the same thing, but bigger STANDING UP. bro, they, are, standing, up. thats why everyone bags on body boarders. surf, skim, or body surf. those are my choices.

this august im going to mexico for 3 days on a bodyboarding trip for college. 2 units UC transferrable. how rad is that?

I have a sponge board in my shop, I think I'll take it to the beach in the winter when the waves get big. Just incase my skim get sucked out to sea, also incase someone gets introuble.

which misleads you into thinking...oh thats lame you just lay on a sponge board and get pushed by a wave...and you don't think about the kind of body boarding that actually takes skill and you don't think about Pro body boarding/Pro body boarder's such as Jeff Hubbard from the BZ team...

Because evn if peopel are riding big waves on a bodyboard, people are riding waes the same size on a surfboard. And, that is much harde than lying on your stomahc an riding them.

well most the critisisms that was said for sponging apply to skimmers and are what surfers think of skimmers. and we get annoyed when people think skimming as sliding across the sand on a wooden board....

i have tech 2's. I would get cramps in the winter when i wore booties. I havent used any other fin, but the do have a good push.

Also i bodyboard when the skim isnt good, or if its low tide. Its so easy to get into the wave and take it down the line. I think the reason i am so dettered from surfing is that it takes alot of commitment, and both bodyboarding and skimmboarding are much less mainstream.

its not about how hard it is to do. its about having fun. if you can surf really good but you don't like to do it, and you skim like shit but you have fun doing it. i would choose skimming. why does it matter how hard it is?

yeah but those guys who actually do awesome things.. so they are okay
but ive never seen them! only once in a vid but those spongers at the beach ( read: 6 year old kids with a lame bodyboard from the touristshop ) who are just lying the way all day long when youre trying to get a wave really piss me off

popular choices out here are vipers, kicks, and toobs bluntcuts

and to the haters: if you posted a question on a bodyboard forum about what kind of traction to buy for your skimboard, chances are many would respond with comments about how gay skimming is and how all the retards should actually ride waves instead of sliding up and down the sand. there are a lot of kooks that get beat by waves holding a sponge, but that doesn't make all spongers kooks. if you have never seen someone rip on a sponge, then you need to find a new spot to watch.
