backside sideslide
anyone ever do these? or at least on purpose? i did one by a mistake yesterday then tried a few more later on in the day. with some practice i could prob catch a wave once and a while doin it... seemed cool though

my friend does it all the time. He cant sidelsip for some reason and just ends up turning backwards. It doesnt help him he just falls but its funny.
haha sideslipping backwards is so fun. I can slide slip good reg and backwards. On flat days I beat most of my friends backwards when they do it regular lol.

i can't side slip i've tried but my board slows down while turning, any pointers?
You shouldnt have any problem with losing speed while turning into the side-slip Pete... Just make sure you have enough initial speed and a clean transition.
Also make sure you turn your board to side-slip instantly when you hit the water. Keep your knees bent and your body centered on the board.

I can only sideslip backwards if i try to sideslip, it feels more comfortable but at the same i'm freaking out cause i'm turning my head around and I can't see well still behind me. Is it becuase i put more weight on my backfoot?

haha, I have tried it a few times, but I always end up falling, and landing on a nice pile of rocks (temescal canyon).. but my friend always does it by mistake, doesn;t end 2 well for him.,.. lol
