it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun this morning
and Dale, no, this has been the flattest summer I can ever remember. Same as FL, our season picks up when the canes start popping up. But the skim has been good the last couple of weeks, and it was surfable today and yesterday. I've still only surfed twice this year though. And I'm pretty sure in 13 years of surfing this is the least I've ever surfed by July 17th.
I set FOUR fracking alarms. FOUR. One at 5:45, 6:00, 6:15, 6:30 and not ONE woke me up. hfsdhj,dsv,hdfsvdsfhgdsvhdfsvdfjshdghsvdsf. On tp of that I got a phone call too. My phone was literally inches from my head. That didn't even wake me up.
Leaing now for whatever's left. But it's gonna suck. And I'm gonna come hoem angry at the world.

It was kook city out there today though. There were two guys on like seven to eight foot soft-top longboards that would run from the shore and into the shorebreak just launching them selves off the boards doing flyaways and shit. They cut me off a pretty good amount of times. Then they were surfing in the shorebreak. On one wave, the kid watched me run towards it, drop, get on the board, and head right at him and he just paddled right in. If I would have wrapped it, he would have a skimboard probably embedded somewhere in his body. I got so fracking pissed at him.

now that my body's gotten acclimated to a 6 am wakeup, I'll have no problem getting out there at least twice in the week, and once on the weekend. Hopefully it'll be 4 times a week when the surf picks up.
Yea, I have family in town now, but if there's a day that looks good I'll try to get out for a bit.
