    Cool Water temperature

    Can anyone answer this one.???
    Does the water temperature have a difference in a boards' performance.????

    percentage wise, temperature has very little affect on water density.

    water density would only affect buoyancy.

    and buoyancy has very litte affect on skimboard performance.

    So overall, the affect seems like it would be very very small.

    Furthermore, I have never noticed a difference.

    it does affect wax though

    but they have different waxes that adapt to different temp situations

    it would have to be very cold, like near freezing to probably be able to feel a difference in water density, becaue that is when the water molecules start bonding together.

    one guy on that forum is selling an ultra for 400 bucks, a wedge for 300 and a carbon exile for 100 ill take the exile.

    water temp has no effect. Cabo- warm water and great waves.

    unless you go skimming in the arctic on a frozen mass of water, then there is a difference.

    uh is it weird that about 3 weeks ago i was in cabo the the water was colder than newport...

    i was expecting it to be warmmm but it was a bit chilly

    cold water slows you down, but doesnt effect the board

    are you guys just making this stuff up? there are so many random statements in this thread with no backup... its silly.

    if you think you know something then at least state why you think you know it. instead of "it would have to be really cold" why dont you click the link that is in this thread and see foryourself exactly what temp has what density. instead of stating "it slows you down" at least say "I heard from my stoner hippy buddy that it slows you down..."

    I Totally agree.
