Heal the Bay was at the beach where I was skimming this past weekend cleaning up the beach and made the beach that usually has some visible trash look nice. I come back the next day to see a shit ton of seagulls on the beach, look closer and see that people who used the beach after the clean up left a bunch of trash. Beach looks worse than ever and a clean up crew ends up cleaning up the mess. I am disappoint LA. Seriously when I see shit like this I start to think beaches should charge more for parking and even walk ins to prevent poor people from coming (ie Malibu). End of rant.
I've heard of a lot of problems from friends in college with beaches getting trashed... it seems so foreign to me. Where I live everyone is a local and the beaches are spotless.
