SOMB OT is clearly in a depression. There are two possible future states, a resurgence or stagnation. Although this is not the first time SOMB has been down in the dumps, the two consistent hopes of light, the FPT and Girls, are now waning or dead. Unfortunately, Reddit is not going anywhere and, in order to counteract this better source of funny, SOMBs funny will need to be unique and esoteric. I consider OT to be my home on the internet; it is a little garden of Eden in all the flux. It's a pretty sweet home but, like any thing, it needs work to keep it looking good.

r/atheism is sickening. Like they're tragic heroes for being atheists. It's not a big fracking deal...shut the frack up about it. Now that the logic has become more understandable, more and more dumb people are going to be atheist and ruin it for everyone. New mindset for when that happens- since it's obvious God does not exist and the time spent on earth is all one has then, any time spent discussing God is a waste of time. Therefore, it won't be a question of whether or not you're an atheist and that'll be taken for granted and r/atheism will die a fiery death. ACTUALLY, this has already been done in humanism and, particularly, existentialism. /rant

You're dead-on. There is something weird about Reddit which I can't put my finger on yet but, it's got to do with the sense of community. It feels like a cult. All that aside, I check the front page at least once a day.

Edit: I think it stems from the karma system and the amount of users. 4chan is more 'real' because you can do say whatever you want. SOMB is more 'real' because people are generally held accountable for retarded posts OR the retarded posts are not immediately downvoted/hidden forever. Reddit is The Stepford Wives.
