Yeah, you definitely don't want San Diego. All the areas San Clemente on up to Newport are pretty nice. It really just depends on what you want and how much you're willing to pay for it.

Just wondering if anyone ever has issues with sprains whenever they pull one of those quick snaps when wrapping. Normally I recover from them within days, but I really screwed myself about a month...

It's not exactly a bad thing to learn on bigger waves if you can. As long as you're skimming, you can't really go wrong.

UCLA all the way man. Time becomes an issue, for me anyways. But almost every great break in California is in driving range. I couldn't have asked for a better setup.
