I'll definitely look into those. And would those boards be good for both wave riding and sand skimming? Or would it be slow/sluggish due to the size on the sand

So right now I'm looking at getting a J-Gordon Standard board. Does anyone have anything to say about these? Will it be possible to learn to catch some waves on one?
