No problems.
If you are in London, then the closest place to skim is Bournemouth (about 1.5/2 hours by car)
If you want to come down to our area where there is more consistent skim, then its a...
Thanks Steve, - yeah we got skim - we had the best conditions out of all the European ESL contests last year.
Where are you going in England?
If you don't want to bring your board, then we can...
I'll be there!
Curno sider

I have got a pic of the sider at Curno that i will post tomorrow.
I haven't got the type of pic that you want to see of this beach though.
However, this is the same beach, but at high tide (the...
Yup, this is by far my favorite place to skim in England.
As Adam pointed out, if it gets too big, forget the skim - just grab a sponge and hold on for the ride.
This summer has been awesome...
Good issue.
Nice to see a UK pic in there. Cheers Derek!
Woodies are around 20-30 quid - free shipping too.
You're welcome to stay at mine, or at any of the skim regulars around the Sandskater shop.
Boards aren't a problem too, you can borrow off us...
Pretty much as Mark says - if you want good skim, you will have to head to the south/south west - which is open to the Atlantic, so picks up a lot of swell.
We have some cheap woodies at the shop,...
Great job. Nice one Derek! :)

Yes, that is Porthcurno in England.
It's right at the very south west tip of the UK, near Land's End - so it's open to the...
About 25 Brit's are heading over for the contest this year. Liking the sound of the free beer!
See ya there!
We haven't even began to explore Ireland yet for skim. We have a few customers in Dublin, but the Atlantic side is completly unexplored for skim.
Been thinking about planning a road trip over...
A bad bail from that same day:
Bad Bail
You better believe it! ;)
I check these message boards everyday Maye, but don't post that often.
Another video from the same day:
UK Bodyboarding Video 2
We just had a big swell hit last weekend. We usually skim the beach in the video, as it holds some big skim and sidewash, but this time it was too big for skimboarding, so left it for the spongers to...
Yeah, that 2nd pic in this thread (with the huge backwash) is in the UK, about an hours drive away from my home town. Its pretty crazy!
Yeh, its exciting times for skimboarding in the UK. Looking forward to the new contest organisation, and the legitimacy that the association brings.
The British Surfing Association was kind enough...
Shipping is usually next day. But we are closed mondays, so expect it Wed/Thurs. If you got any other questions email me from my site, or send me a PM.
I got the entry form and rules - thanks for that. Do you have a legal disclaimer, coz it wasn't included on the entry form.
If you're serious about doing this, then i would post on our UK forums...
I am the owner of Sandskater, and nobody has approached me about sponsorship.
Can you send me some entry forms, so some of my team can enter?
This is news to me. Nobody has approached me about a UK contest, let alone agreed to any form of sponsorship.
Would be interested to know where the prize money and Zap Comp skimboard is coming...
:D lol - love it - "old England"
