Most of you probably know about this house, but I'll summarize, just cuz I'm feeling a little sad about this...

This house pre-dated skimming of siders. It once had a long pier extending from it that can be seen in the early Tenth Street Bros. films. The wall that's being destroyed in the video was a "launch" area for skimming the sider when there was a lot less sand. The sand quantity at this area is seasonal. In the summer, south swells push the sand southward, exposing more rock in this area and this allows the sider to form. The larger and more consecutive the south swells, the more sand is removed and the sider is potentially "better." El Nino events can even remove all the sand on the beach, effectively "resetting" it. Time will tell how much of an influence this house had on the sider.

I'm sure many of us will be sad to see this landmark go. The house and it's immediate vicinity has been a haven for topless women, graffiti artists, and perhaps the occasional vagrant throughout the years. Does anyone have any cool memories/stories about this place?
