the skyhook was a big failure for poorboy, when i was at the factory buying my tail pad about a month before they went out of business, they offered to sell me skyhook pads for $10 each, i declined, also, i was in the o'neill store near 26th a week ago, the only poorboy pads they had in stock were the skyhook, they had about 5-7 of them, not a big seller, the kick is basically a hook to lock your foot in for aerials, i think it was geared more towards surfing

someone could always cut down the hook so its like a normal pad.

for skimming the skyhook would suck because it would snag on the sand and rip

morgan just had i skyhook on one of his board when i was in laguna. not sure if it was poorboy tho. and a front foot latch. he busted out a double backflip, which was pretty sick.

morgan's was an xtrak, and it was made a lot better.

it was a really neat idea for poorboy, and the second one that they came out with didn't have the split in the middle of the arch and had much stronger glue; needless to say it was actually pretty fun to use. there's nothing quite like airing with your back foot attached to the board.
