and i found that out alittle to late, the archbar got put on too far back and my front foot slips alot, im in the process of finding some poorboy pads to cover alot of the front of the board and get a poorboy kickpad, and im gonna rid myself of wax completely. Im just not feeling the astrodeck pads like i do poorboy.

edit : shit just noticed you were talking about the SOL, i ordered a new pad/arch the other day, had the pad on for a few months and it started coming off in the corners

Yup, but I've got the 3/4" foam. I've had a lot of boards from different company's and this is definitely my favorite shape. With the longer narrower nose it seems to make quicker more precise wraps than the standard exile hybrid while the added length gives a little extra to help drop in and also gives extra speed initially when going down the line. I prefer the 3/4" because it seems to give more float and stability with more room for error overall while riding the weaker liner type waves, cutting through chop, and landing shuvs and stuff.

you can get the astrodeck pads pretty much wherever they sell longboards. The pad is meant for a long board/back foot but I turned it upside down and it fit the board nice!

The board is really sick for gulf coast conditions. It is def the best board for liners, but the blunt nose kinda throws your speed/turn radius off when you wrap anything above waist high. If you skim smaller waves i would def recommend it, but get a carbon one with kevlar.

ft walton and navarre are probably the best places around here, nothing really great but we get some good waves once every blue moon.

I like the grape a lot better then the exile.. It has sharper rails and holds the line better. But they really arent comparable the exile is a 5/8 and the grape is 3/4 . Id say the exile is better for close shore break and the grape is better for cruisin out to the big stuff. MML is between a M and a ML and a MMS is between a M and a MS.

yeah a medium is about a lil less then a half of an inch longer. A MML is about an inch longer in length then a MMS.
