leave the logo piece in the pad. spread the kicked pieces out so they follow the angle roughly with the line of the art... at least thats how i do it. i love it. angle the pieces so the outer edges align with the line of the art, and leave the arch right there in the middle. so theres space between everything but it still feels really solid under your feet...

@dukiedude...i knew i wanted some non-traditional colors and some art, since i was spending a shit ton of money anyway, i wanted to make the board unique. as far as the bear, i've messed around with stencil art for awhile and i had this old grizzly bear template lying around and i just thought it would dope on a board so i was like, fuck it. i think he looks pretty wicked just chillin' there, lol. as hank can attest, i actually sent him a bunch of different designs before i settled on the bear.

i had some ideas and i used photoshop/illustrator to make some stencils and mockups. i highly recommend this method if you want to go with custom art from exile. makes it real easy on hank and the guys and it will ensure it comes out exactly like you envision in your head plus it'll save you $$$.

i put wax everywhere my pads aren't, just in case i get sketchy (quite often, see bonus section in stimuli) haha. never hurts to have some wax on the board. dewey, i think your pads are alright there, especially if you want to be in position to really throw some tail in a frontside turn. gotta hve both feet back far on the board.

actually thats what i was aiming for, a marbleized effect (the experimental thing i was trying out) i did it on the rail too.

surf wax + paint = marbly look :) try it, it came out pretty sick.

We havent really had any decent swell lately so i cant really tell u too much about how it rides in all conditions. I did get to ride some little frontside lines with it though, and it side slipped well and seemed to lock in waves easily. The thing i liked about it most was the shorter length with no loss in float. It felt like i was riding a skateboard, and the board has a ton of pop. Im not too sure about how the board will do as far as backside wraps go. Im guessing it is going to be a lot harder to turn then my pro shape. Definately a fun board to ride.

It is a medium and i think its 51". I cut the kick tails off and used the arch from the tail pad in their place, and the arch for the tail pad is a regular arch bar that i shortend a bit(used the extra for the front foot arch). Then to fill in the gaps i put some peices from a beaker tail pad. I can post a close up pic of the tail pad later if u would like a better look.

It's a large, 54.5". I was surprised how much longer it is than my Large Carbon Comp and Slotty ProVac. Can't wait to ride it...the shape looks like it should be fast as hell.
