It feels so high even where it is right now. Remember it's a Proshape so so its a big longer and more pointy. I don't care about covering the logo, and I don't want to put the arch a bit low like it is on my zap, so I think I'll raise 'er up a bit like you said.

When you sand it down level...polish the crap out of it in those areas with like 2000 grit and polishing compund. Everything will stick better.

I just sanded my exile down today. I started with a 120 grit, then changed to a 220, then to a 300. That was overkill though, because you only need like a sheet of 80 grit and that will be fine.

Don't worry about hurting your board when you sand it. Get it nice and smooth so it feels like a piece of glass. Spray off the powder and get a damp cloth and wipe it down to get the residue out of the texture.

I wiped mine down after that with rubbing alcohol just to be sure it was clean, but i dont think it's necessary.

Measure twice, and stick your pads on.

Yeah, I think rubbing alcohol is a very good idea, there is natural oil on your hands and resin has oil too. And it also picks up the dust at the same time.

I tried my exile for the first time in water around 50 degrees and it was amazing. So much float compared to my Comp and so light too! My friend has a carbon Vic and I swear the exile is half a pound lighter.

I would not worry about that at all. It is just cosmetic. Your wax will hide it anyway. As long as the top feels solid and not pourus, there should not be any structural concerns. To me it just looks like two small flaws in the weave of the material. The surrounding material will handle all the stresses the board will encounter.

I think you need to call exile and speak with hank or steve about the holes, also where did you buy the board from? Did you order it directly from exile or from a shop, if you bought it from a shop then bring it back and demand a refund. You didnt pay full price on a board to get one that has holes in it.

nice never heard of syndrome how are there boards (Dont just say there amazing cause u ride for them pls)

Ok, I'll describe them I suppose. FIrst off, they are hard to get used to, because they are very different from exiles and zaps etc. In a way they are less forgiving in that if your wrap is not efficient (so to speak) they can be difficult to use. This is how I felt when I first got mine. But, what this does is force you to improve your wrap and once you do, let's just your skimming greatly improves.
They float well, and they weigh the same as any other board (even with solid rails)
Now the way they turn is harder to describe. They definitely are not as loose as exiles (note- I'm referring to the Hybrid exile) so it takes some time to learn to put more force into your turns. But on the flip side, they hold the line a lot better if you ask me.

But yeah, I had ridden all other major board companies before syndromes once I bought one, I was hooked. But I would have said they were amazing even if I didn't ride for them.

Yeah, I rode it for the first time today. The waves sucked, but the board was amazing. Best board I have ridden (And I have ridden a lot)....Promise...

Feels so comfortable on the wave, I've never had a 3/4 board before so when I'm on the wave, it feels like I don't have to worry about floating and I can concentrate more on maneuvering and doing tricks.
Good stuff good stuff.
