hey on that exile carbon above, polska, does it show the layers of carbon and other materials near the edges like other carbons do, cause im getting one and i hate how it shows the cloth like hanging out on the edges people say all exiles do im wondering

It's not the cloth, it's the pigment on the boards that do that, and in no way does it affect performance. I believe that if you get a clear carbon board, like his, which means that they don't apply any pigment to the carbon, then you won't see anything like what you are talking about. The pigments in the epoxy (epoxy= liquid hardening agent for the fiberglass/carbon) do not stick as well to the carbon fiber as they do to e-glass, or s-glass. If you look at a colored carbon board compared to an e-glass or s-glass board of the same color, you will see what I'm talking about. E-glass and s-glass can hold the pigment better than carbon, but carbon is of course stronger and stiffer.

yeah i have a clear carbon ML, i think it easier to spot blems and scratches on it but who cares its meant to shred not be pretty. The carbon weave on my board is way smaller weaves than the panda exile above.

good responses valencia and live2skim. njskimmer, the carbon showing through is sick because you know your boards got carbon and you're not getting shafted. if you get black you wont see the carbon on the rails and if you get clear carbon you'll just see the carbon weave through the entire deck. don't get clear carbon on the bottom of the board because when carbon scratches it loooks like dog shit, so make sure you order a sexy color on the bottom if you want a clear carbon deck. <3

Be ready to wait a while for it. I ordered my board over a month and a half ago and it still hasn't gotten to me. It actually hasn't gotten to skim city yet either as far as I know. Exile has apparently been extremely busy and it might take a while for your board to get to you, but it will all work out in the end because your going to get exactly what you want, a great board.

I actually wanted to have just white pads, those dakine pads were the only white pads i could find which had some sort of diamond grip (wasn't a big fan of skimshop/astrodeck at the time, now i don't really care). i bought the blue arch bar last minute cause I was heading to France for 2 weeks and definately wanted an archbar while there. I´ve never had problem with the placement of my archbar, if i place my foot toward the top i'll sink anyway. it is not placed on correctly though, it's tilted a little to the right. I´m not very good at placing pad.

bottom is just plain white, allthough it has these weird black stripes below the surface. not quite sure what it is, maybe folded carbon?

There is a HUGE dent (its not that big but its big enough) but i dont know how i got it. Its so big i can feel where the paint displaced on the skimboard. Here is the dent. I had trouble getting a good picture but right where the glare is you can see it.

Do you guys get rid of the sticky residue from tape on your board (it's on the bottom) or do you leave it? Also is it normal to have some scrapes on the board? I have some on the top of my board toward the nose, and I also have a long line that isn't a scratch and it's yellowish on the bottom of my board. Sorry about this but it's my first good(ish) board.
