carbon is more expensive than kevlar you actually have to contact them to get carbon but it rides so much nicer than the kevlar and alot more stronger cant wait to get my pads but added a sweet vinyl today(that i made) sorry for bad quality but you cant still make out smurf

If anything, constant rockers actually give you less speed. Definitely better turning, that's what they are designed for.

exactly, thats why most wood/flatland boards have no or little rocker, they need speed, not rocker.

Constant would make turning a dream come true, speed however would be scarified

And as for speed on a wave goes, it wouldn't do more than a regular hybrid pro shape, probably even less since it causes more friction on the wave.

There is a HUGE dent (its not that big but its big enough) but i dont know how i got it. Its so big i can feel where the paint displaced on the skimboard. Here is the dent. I had trouble getting a good picture but right where the glare is you can see it.

off topic: I've heard people talking a lot about square skimboards lately, but many of them seem to get stuck between exile or square. Has anyone thought of getting an exile with a squashed nose and tail so that it would have the shape of a square, with the well known quality of exile? I've been thinking about this for a while and just wanted to throw it out there.

haha that is true and that was the 1st square i had ever gotten and with any board it takes time to get used and i also live in florida where lots of people including me do otbs (out the back) tricks and that doesnt help on any board so now ive had the same board since febuary and it has no cracks or dings. so i guess that makes up for it. and dont think that squares arent durable because i broke one in a week ive seen zaps and exiles break in a week as well so all i can say is everyone including zap and exile and square make some diffective boards everynow and then and dave helped me out alot and immedietly sent me out a brand new board and would probably do that for any skimmer if their board breaks in a week.

Hello NJ buddy, which do you usually ride and why? I have a similar exile and was wondering how the square handles NJ waves.

I ride the Square more its pretty much new(got it in December), and the exile's 2 yrs old, also its 3/4" which gives so more float then 5/8". I feel its a little faster then my exile, I'm thinking its the flatter tail rocker and the squash tail. The tail makes it a little looser, but I feel it can snap wraps better. Don't get me wrong i love my exile, but nj waves aren't consistanly big enough for hybrid rocker and 5/8". But the square does lock into liners well, like at the cove. All around I'm likeing the square, takes a little time to get used to it though.

just tried my new carbon square in cancun, waves were nice but a very short slope but overall cancun is ok my old kevlar square cracked within the week but dave hooked me up with a carbon and rides better than kevlar ill be posting pics tomorrow with white paradise pads tomorrow when i get off flight

I ride the Square more its pretty much new(got it in December), and the exile's 2 yrs old, also its 3/4" which gives so more float then 5/8". I feel its a little faster then my exile, I'm thinking its the flatter tail rocker and the squash tail. The tail makes it a little looser, but I feel it can snap wraps better. Don't get me wrong i love my exile, but nj waves aren't consistanly big enough for hybrid rocker and 5/8". But the square does lock into liners well, like at the cove. All around I'm likeing the square, takes a little time to get used to it though.
that square is a lot bigger and thicker than your exile. Probably more comparable to a Ml or Lg pro shape 3/4" (i.e. a lot bigger).

becasue they do, Square was only using kevlar to try to make the board lighter(from what my friend told me that square said.) square is now making carbon boards.

becasue they do, Square was only using kevlar to try to make the board lighter(from what my friend told me that square said.) square is now making carbon boards.
they also use it bc they believe its more impact resistant by way of like shells and rocks and junk
