1 CONCERT
Not a fake. Look at the front page of their website.
It's in Coachella in CA. Too bad I live in MA. 250$ for 3 day passes. Tickets go on sale Saturday.
I thought De La Rocha wasn't allowed to enter the country, I know he was in Columbia for awhile. But this show is going to be fucking legendary. If you know anything about this band, you know how fucking ill this show will be.
Get on it if your in CA.
Live footage preview.

261 for round trip. WHOS WITH ME.
Tickets on Sale Saturday.
Wish they announced it earlier.
That concert is going to be amazing.
Nice!
I think I'll queue up some Rage right now - I've been listening to the latest Audioslave [Revelations] too. The woman has seen them live, I'd love to see em, logistics are a little tough though...
del-a-where?

One show.
ahhhh it seems they blew all their cash and needed some money.
I have grown to hate Tom Morello. I use to love RATM until they broke up and Morello started to his political activists stuff which is about cool as my shit.
Negative Nancy Robs.
Negative Nancy Robs.
Yeah, I was just thinking that...
You and DZan should have a negative-off, where you post-and-reply with gradually worsening anecdotes until the thread collapses into an inky black hole of despair - though the resulting ripple of pessimistic vibes would put a serious kink in the fun I have planned for this weekend :D
You should cheer up dude - I'm fucking Happy Slappy all the time :)

If I could really punch any 10 people I wanted to in the face Morello makes that list.

I saw rage play back in 96 at the Free tibet concert in Golden Gate Park...
Some Crazy ass shit... it was like they dropped a bomb on the park when they started their set with bullz on parade... It was funny cause some raggae/ska band played before them and all the hippy's got trampled while they were attempting to exit the stage area... NArly... Gotta give props for the energy they create... huricanes of peps... that is all.

I'll start...
I knew they were descending into crap when I saw the dude climb onto the fake tree thing at the MTV awards. Way to be a rebel by climbing onto stage. The Man is fucking reeling now.

Morello is a genious. Who the hell cares that he's a Marxist, his dad was a Guerilla Fighter of the Mau Mau, and his uncle Jomo Kenyatta, was the first elected president in Kenya. I'm pretty sure you'd have some different political views too.

uh, hate to break it to you but Rage was a very Leftist and politically active band. So I guess you never liked morello.

Just because you like a band, that has nothing to do with your values.
If what you just is true than 90% of young adults are demos.
Lets also not mention the band has never been outspoken like Tom.

What i am saying is that the band, their songs, and what they have done has always been politically left, it's not a new tom morello thing. What do you think the "Evil Empire" is supposed to be? Look at the lyrics of "Sleep Now in the fire"...
Most people dont pay attention to music's message. So I'd say that probably many listeners of Rage are conservatives who just arent paying attention to what they are listening to.

I guess you dont listen to the majority of alternative music which has the same points.

Rage is the sickness and it gets shit started. They are the real deal. If the members wanna pull togeather to put on a show, I'm all for it. They helped open my mind while I was in my youth and they are an all around great act

Rage is a Liberal band. Accept it.
If anything Morello is way less political with audioslave.
narwhal
01-23-2007, 10:19 PM
The band is very liberal, never said they are not.
I am just saying so are so many more bands. (dont have to listen to a band to believe their ideology on politics)
Tom Morello is still very out spoken. And he just annoys me, Rage is a very good band and Tom is a god on guitar.

I have grown to hate Tom Morello. I use to love RATM until they broke up and Morello started to his political activists stuff which is about cool as my shit.
So this doesnt mean that you liked rage then thought tom unfettered by his past band affiliations became an outspoken leftwinger so then disliked rage and audioslave. Cause thats how I read that.
narwhal
01-23-2007, 10:32 PM
I use to love, means because they broke up.
Audio Slave sucks royally though. political things side.
I would consider Morello a outspoken extreme extreme leftey.

I submit you are just embarassed to admit that you didnt know Rage was a leftist band and are now rationalising your way out of it.
narwhal
01-23-2007, 10:51 PM
If I knew that Tom is a lefty, and the bands name is Rage Against the Machine you are seriously going to sit back and tell me I did not know they are a leftist band? Its not that hard.

I sure as hell wouldn't pay that much just to see RATM, but I'd probably pay considering that it's a 3 day festival and a ton of other good bands are playing there which include The Rapture, Silversun Pickups, The Arcade Firde, Placebo, Sonic Youth, and Dj Shadow to name a few. The main thing that kinda turns me off about the festival though is the fact that it's basically in the middle of the desert. Something about standing watching music in +100 degree weather doesn't sound too appealing. I think I'll just wait to see each of these bands on their own tour when they come through my city.
