I've heard Exile has a blunt nose shape, has anyone ever tried, seen, or heard of one??
so it would look like an egg then?

Didn't the zap egg come before the exile blunt nose?

no, the exile blunt nose was pretty much their original shape.
from what i know, anyways.
I have a blunt nosed hybrid exile. For purely subjective reasons I prefer it on smaller waves than my normal nose.

blunt nose constants are pretty much all time in super fast water and heavy waves.

I am not tense at all, just setting the record straight.
Chia and I started riding blunt nosed shapes around 1995 (or so). Exile came out in 2002 with the shapes we had been riding forever, and some new ones. Zap came out with the egg the following year.

The earlier exiles i've ridden were blunt noses, and they rode well, but you have to be a little more apprehensive of what your nose is doing.
the newer ones i personally like better, the pointy nose is just comfy.

the fish came out after chia and I had been riding blunt nosed boards in contests etc for years, and looks nothing like a blunt nosed exile nor an egg. Plus it was developed to capitalize on the surfboard fish fad of the time (seemingly) while taking advantage of the fact that you can squeeze more boards onto a sheet of foam if you make them short and stubby (it was a very cheap board).
I have nothing against Zap. I think they are a good company full of good people. I don't think they "ripped me off", but I do know what came first.
