the large board is just an inch or so wider and longer... and a bit heavier... I'm 155-160lbs and i rode a medium for rails and freestyle tricks, and the large for 'shorebreak' freestyle (aka ankle biter waves, just trying to boost)

i preferred the medium personaly as it's easy to shuv and pop.
